Another contract on America?

The CBS blog Horserace is speculating on a Gingrich/Huckabee ticket and how Hillary will fare in tonight's Democratic candidate debate.

(Posted by Leslie Peacock. Max is still on vacation.)

Maybe it's simply a move so that Huck can bring Newt closer to the Lord.
.

Max,

Solet me get this right. You are away on Vacation, in Ireland, and you are checking Horserace, some obscure CBS blog about something having to do with the agonizingly long presidential catfight that will be rendered meaningless in 24 hours or less.

Max, Max, Max, Max. Buddy. C'mon. Pull yourself together. Just not right. Life is short. Step away from the computer and into the warm, inviting, smooth embrace of another Guinness. The staff and colleagues you left behind are watching your back and doing a bang up job.

ooops. I see that Max didn't post that. Never mind.

Oh my...what a dream ticket! Hillary has to be orgasmic at the idea of running against Newt/Huck! Compared to those two she eeks moderation. And the country is far hungrier for that than it is Newt's extremism and Huck's shallow quips about killing ducks in heaven.

While the majority of today's blog is about fuball........
our little Senator Marky was busy supporting the use of "military instruments" against Iran as he bent over one more time for his butt-buddy Joe Liberman.

Senator Lincoln voted "nay" to Senate Amendment 3017 which authorizes the president to use "military instruments" against Iran.

roll call vote at my name.

Letters from HRC.org

Dear Rick,

On behalf of the Human Rights Campaign, thank you for asking
your Senators to support passage of the Matthew Shepard Act.

Will you please take your support one step further by forwarding
the message below to everyone you know - asking them to join you
in standing up for this important legislation?

Thank you for offering your help during this critical time. As
we all saw when this legislation passed the House, your support
does make an enormous difference.

Sincerely, Human Rights Campaign

Hi,

You've got to watch this video. Thousands of people are attacked
every year because of their sexual orientation, and there's
still no federal hate crimes law to protect them. This video is
the most powerful statement I've seen on hate crimes, and I
couldn't help but pass it on. I think you'll see why.

There's a bill in the Senate right now that would address this
heartbreaking problem, and we only have a few weeks until the
vote. It would mean a lot to me if you could take a minute to
watch the video and write your Senators, and then pass this
along to five friends. I really believe none of us can sit this
one out. Just go to:

"Run left, run left, run middle, punt."
Holy Saint Frank and Cardinal Nutt. Are today's politics beginning to resemble a football game? The quote I remember from more than a decade or two or three ago is: Run right, run left, run up the middle, punt.
The "game" today has changed. Politicians must have the pass the buck offense to survive, win, and promote their programs. Oh My Gosh, Politics really is like football.
