Saturday night fights
Have some. Fights, I mean. I'm still out of pocket, but if all goes well I'll be on a plane winging home in 12 hours or so.

I think Bad Intentions/Jermain Taylor will suffer a defeat tonight; Kelly Pavlik is prepared to clean his clock. Pavlik may show a little mercy and not whip Jermain the way he did Edison Maranda.

Y
es, Cato, count me as the sad one. A wise-ass, whore-mongering Repub who thought he was entitled to
$30 million in handouts from the faithful withdraws from a race he was never in. How sad.

i heard on the radio that jermain taylor lost in a knockout. that's too bad. he will get a chance for a comeback for a lot of money soon. hogs won over the little sisters of the poor.
sorry meg i won't be there for a while but i will be there in spirit. just remember winnie you are number 1 and laugh at em'. come on folks somebody go down to markham and cumberland and take my place for a few weeks, please. the dr. and my wife have banned me from that since people do get pissed at us occasionally. i need someone to laugh at the rethuglicans and hold one of winnies neat signs.

Yep, Jermaine lost. Had his opponent on the mat in round 2 but couldnt finish him. Rematch guaranteed but his limits may have been reached. Let's hope the locals, who before they got on the rah-rah Jermaine bandwagon without knowing Ray Boom Boom Mancini from Henry Mancini, will still support the young man. And lets also hope that if his limits have been reached in the ring he finds something very worthwhile to do that doesnt involve repeated blows to the head.

During Jermain's interview after the fight, he appeared so dejected and lost. Even though there is a rematch clause in his contract, Jermain may not want to revisit the scene with Pavlik. I wish Jermain well and hope he has invested his money wisely; I really don't see him as a great fighter who will return to the top. Many people don't believe he actually beat Bernard Hopkins or Winky Wright, neither do I.
