Straw man
For Repubs, it's George Soros. And here's Mike Huckabee, on the attack against Hillary Clinton, for failing to repudiate the MoveOn.org questioning, with good reason, whether Gen. Petraeus can be believed in his assessment of the wear.

Too much Irish whiskey has cause the link to Huckabee's statement to not work.
ARK. BLOG: Too early for that. Just a typical screwup. I think I fixed it. But I am leaving the computer. If my fix doesn't work, find it on the Washington Times.

Hillary triangulated her way through the whole MoveOn affair last week with a vote against the Gooper amendment but a vote for the Boxer Amendment.. The Classic I was against it before I was for it sort of shenanigans.. Somehow the weak knee Dems (about half of them) ran from the truth of MoveOns Betrayal point so far and fast that they turned it into a fiorst amendment issue and trashed the first amendment. Rather than face the betrayal they doubled it!
And then she blew it all over again on the Sunday shows on this topic.
My very first joyous thought when I saw the MoveOn ad was that this would happen.. A perfect opportunity for us to see who would face the truth and who wouldn't.. Once again, we now know Huck and Hill are far to much alike on issues such as this.

I read somewhere yesterday that Giulianni purchased a full page ad in the NYT in response to MoveON... and Giulianni criticized
MoveOn for paying a bargain rate for their ad.. NYT subsequently told MoveOn, who had just paid what they were quoted, they had charged a low rate in error. MoveOn in order to keep things above board immediately paid by wire transfer the difference..
It turns out the NYT charged Giulianni the same low rate and when Giulianni was contacted about this.. his campaign has declined to pay the difference..
So I want to say to those who brought this to our attention here last week that they were right about the discounted price being an NYT error.. But Giulianni turns out to be both a liar and a hypocrite about the whole affair.. who will only pay the fair amount if his hypocrisy becomes a public embarrassment.. not because it is simply the right thing to do.

Huckabee is as assumptive as a trial lawyer. By taking the lead on Hillary rants, he pretends that will be his role come Feb 09.
Regarding how partisan he is:
""If you can't get your lips off the backside of George Soros long enough to use those lips to say it's wrong to declare a sitting general ... guilty of treason," the 2008 Republican presidential hopeful said, "how would you ever expect to have the support of the very military you might have to send into deadly battle?"
Sounds like something Rove would have sketched out while sitting on the stool.

Oh my! Did Brother Mike really accuse Miz Hillary of kissing a supporter's, er, ah, derriere? Too bad there's not a board of deacons around to give him a good hard yank.

I wonder if Huckabeen like Marsha Blackburn is as well-briefed on Arkansas casuallties in Iraq as he is on the NYT/Move-on "Talkers."
Click on handle to understand.
