Bill Wilson Tribute Blog Item

We don't often run news releases from college public relations staffs. Too many of them. And, truth is, there's not a lot of news here in the release from Southern Arkansas University about Ashley Moss, who rides the mascot of SAU, a mule, at football games, parades and mule jumping competitions. I just liked the story. And though I know Rasputin Mule Farm proprietor and part-time federal Judge Bill Wilson doesn't surf the Net, I also know he has a vast network of operatives who'll get this important article to him.

I like the story too, Max. Glitter on a mule, huh? My grandpa would have laughed till his dentures bounced off the porch if he'd ever seen such a thing.

Great story, Max. Thanks for sharing it with us. Any of us who grew up on a farm that had mules can identify. Does that tell you how REALLY old I'm getting...........LOL

Please, I beg you, watch your wording when you post these things. Bill Wilson MEMORIAL almost gave me a heart attack. You're probably using the word correctly, but "memorial" to me conjures up, well, you know. Maybe next time you could just say "in honor of" Bill Wilson.
ARK. BLOG: Good point. I've made it "tribute."

I meant to mention that, too. The word turned up just the other day, naming a person who, it turned out, wasn't really dead.
(I'm still chafing about "vigils" being observed at noon--or anytime it isn't dark, for that matter.)

Not much news? That girl is quite attractive, quite the change from the pictures that usually grace this site. That's news enough for me.

Fairplex, a thoroughbred race track in California, starts each day's racing card with a mule race. They usually run 800 yards. The only mules I am familar with are those my dad used in the log woods.
The head football coach at SAU is a fine fellow. Steve Quinn is from my community and a good friend.
