Rolling in dough
Sen. Mark Pryor, so far unopposed in 2008, has piled up more than $4 million for the campaign.

It's easy to rake in the dough when you're running as a Democrat but operating as a Republican crony. Of all the Democrats who've betrayed their base (Lieberman ain't a Dem), Mark tops my traitor list. And it's TORTURE to think we're stuck with him...

It's going to be hard for a Republican to challenge the august senator. After all, right-wing donors will have difficulty deciding whether to donate to the de facto Republican or to the named Republican. Plus, how can a Republican differentiate himself from Pryor? Heads could explode as these small distinctions are appraised. Might be fun to watch, actually.

When Mark Pryor was running against Tim Hutchinson I said I hoped he would win, because we needed at least one Democratic senator in Washington. How was I to know that he would make the Senator from Tyso-Mart look like a wild-eyed radical?
There is definitely something wrong with building a four-million-dollar-plus when there is no challenger in sight. I suppose the idea is to sell yourself and use the proceeds to buy colleagues in the imperial oligarchy.
Does Pryor not realize that there is no virtue in "bipartisanship" with people who are trying to overthrow representative democracy?

Mark hates your liberties and constantly works to dissolve them. He was more than willing to turn the clock back 800 years and vote away Habeas Corpus rights and work from there with his own remodeling of our constitution.
Mark answers to Joe Lieberman, George Bush, and Dick Cheney.. He has no problem treating American soldiers like a childs game of GI Joe with Duncan Hunter.
Mark wants to dump more chicken waste in your water.
Mark is anti net neutrality.
Mark is for torture even of American citizens.
Mark assured that America would be ruled by the likes of Justice Allito, Alberto Gonzoles and many other constitution busters.
Mark doesn't think a woman should be able determine her own reproductive choices with her doctor.
Mark will not stand up to Joe Lieberman when Joe as chair of Homeland Security Committee refuses to conduct oversight of Katrina recovery and waste or fraud.
Mark votes with AIPAC and PNAC neo nuts every time and never fails to push us with his votes towards another trumped up war.. in this case with Iran. I can only recall one vote of Marks that could be perceived as a vote towards pulling out of Iraq and he was the very last D senator to do so.
In a time of war.. Mark will send you mail telling you upset he is about the content of programs on your television. He might on occasion respond to your mail with a generic snooty reply.
People or companies who give money to Mark are not your friends, not good for the D party or our American way of life under constitutional rule of law or a belief in we the people.
No matter who runs against Mark next year you can vote 800 years ahead of Mark by voting him out!

Damn it! Where is that music coming from and how do I turn it off?
Ever notice how quickly Mafia guys can raise bail? When that happens no one says, Well....it's going to be impossible to prosecute that guy. Mark Pryor can raise 10 times that amount and all we have to do to knock him off is NOT VOTE FOR HIM.
If the true Mark Pryor can be made known to the voters of Arkansas, no one will dimple a chad in his name. So Mr. Phelps, this is your mission should you decide to take it....tell everyone you know what a skunk Mark Pryor is and urge them to vote for Rebekah Kennedy in November, 2008.... I've done a lot of thinking and a vote for her is the only thing to do next year.
We sure can't vote for a Republican. And you know as pleasing as Mark Pryor is to the Republican Party, if they even run someone against him next year, it will be a very weak candidate designed to lose. The very best thing anyone can do for the Cheney Republicans is vote for Mark Pryor. So the last thing the R's want is an amateur from their lower ranks to knock him off. Their silence on this race is deafening.
Though it's unusual and a long shot, if we can't vote Democrat and we can't vote Republican in next year's Senate race, we have no other choice but to vote for the Green Party candidate. And while that idea is hard to swallow at the moment.....think about it. In the last 6, 7, years whose been our friend? Sure isn't the neo-con Republicans. And sadly, it's not the weakling, spineless Democrats. So the loyalty level to our traditional 2 parties must be at an all time low. Now is the time to sneak in a 3rd party. If competition is good, more competition is better!
The last few weeks I've done a little studying. I haven't met Rebekah Kennedy face to face, but I've been checking with lawyer buddies who will talk bad about a fellow attorney over a beer now and then. They all say she's smart as a whip....and funny..that's the term most of them use. Would Arkansas suffer having a Senator that is smart as a whip? I don't think so.
Yesterday I looked at Ms Kennedy's website and Googled what I could about her and nothing came up that doesn't groove right along with what I think. So what's wrong with casting my vote for her? The only thing I worry about is that voting for a 3rd party candidate is something new to me. Oh yeah...in the past I voted for Ralph Nader and John Anderson as a protest vote....and lord have I been punished in spades for voting for Nader. Instead of having an Academy Award and Nobel Prize winning President...we got 8 years of criminal rein by a retarded guy who can't win a fight with a bag of pretzels!
But this Senate race is a whole lot less dangerous. If I vote for Kennedy and she wins, I win. If I vote for Kennedy and Pryor wins, nothing changes we still have a Bush-bot in the Senate. If I vote for Kennedy and the unnamed Republican wins, nothing changes we still have a Republican in our Senate seat, only the name on the stationary changes. So this time around I have absolutely nothing to lose by voting for a 3rd party candidate. Oh....and it's been a long time since we've had the chance to have a Senator other people call, "smart as a whip."
We bitch all the time about these big money assholes that spend all their time taking care of their rich buddies while ignoring us or worse. Here's our chance to knock of a big money asshole. It won't cost you a dime! Just go in and vote for Rebekah Kennedy and Pryor will wind up back chasing ambulances where he belongs. We must end this Hutchinson-Pryor-Bush era once and for all! Click on my name to read about a good person whose smart as a whip.

Is the music the line "Get ready to get sweaty ... " over and over again? That's what I heard when I clicked to read the comments on another thread, but not this time. (BTW, my keyboard has a "mute" button, so I don't have to put up with something I can't stop.)

Okay, DBI, I'm all ready to vote for Rebekah Kennedy, but then I look at her myspace page and it says she is 28. Now, maybe they've changed this rule, but I think I recall something from 9th grade civics class about the president and senators being at least 35 years old. Am I missing something here? Can they run as long as they will be 35 before their term is complete?
Anyone?

DBI......Something I do to stay signed in and keep Typekey from signing me out every 10 minutes is to check the "Remember personal info" box each time I post something. I seem to always be signed in when I remember to do that.

Dang if I know how old Rebekah Kennedy is....I've got to quit automatically thinking everyone is my age. I can't find it on her website and it's not polite to ask a lady her age. However, the requirement for the Senate is 30 years old, 25 for Representative and of course 35 for P and VP.
I would assume Ms Kennedy is south of 30. If I ever see her in person I'll eyeball her real good, check her teeth and let you all know.
Thanks Charles Eddie for the tip.....I'll try it.

On Earth Day, 2007, I began my Campaign for Senate with the following announcement:
"Good Afternoon. I am proud and exited today to announce my candidacy for the Green Party nomination to challenge Mark Pryor for the privilege of representing Arkansas in the United States Senate. "
Rebekah Kennedy
Born Oct 19, 1978 in Heber Springs, AR
"No person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States,....."
U.S. Constitution, Article I, Sec 3.

Trash talkin Pryor is simple and easy and does nothing to move any cause in any direction.
However from the above commentators I see a minimum of $800 in donations. Just do it. Your plastic
can take the load of $100 and at that level you need not fill out a campaign donor form.
Oh and let's not hear that foolishness about throwing away your vote. We've already done that.
This is redemption.
Bluename for backing words with commitments.
Thank you.

eLwood, she qualifies as she wouldn't take office hypothetically till January 2009 by which time she will have attained the necessary age.
