Huckabee: 'Jesus wept'

Oh, OK, Huck didn't say that. But he might have thought it on reading that Pat Robertson had endorsed Rudy Giuliani and Sam Brownback had endorsed John McCain. Huck's on the horn with the G-man now asking what the...?

Comments

There's always Jimmy Swaggart right. Or did he die? God could of course send Huck a divine message that God himself endorses Huck. That would trump them all. Case closed. And for good emasure you'd need the Jesus endorsement too and for that he could say that he saw an image of Jesus and the Apostles holding a "Vote for Huck" sign in a passing cloud formation.

And the Fundmentalists love that stuff. They eat it up. For God works in mysterious ways. It's right there in the Bible. You could look it up. And Chasv will set you straight on that too.

I think we'll see some Angels in the Outfield for him yet.

Pat endorsed Rudy?

WTF?

If that doesn't show Pat has been and always will be a fraud, I don't know what does.

Endorsing a guy who has had multiple marriages, supports gay rights/abortion.... Jesus Christ. If Rudy had a "D" by his name Pat would be demagoguing him like he demagogues anyone else [for money].

Look Robertson is a bidnessman, plain and simple. God just makes it more "worthwhile" not to mention providing bigger markets for his deals. Blood diamonds don't bother Pat, nor do deaths of millions of other little black people on a continent far, far away. Pat, like any successful bidnessman migrates to power. A rich bottom line doesn't feed the fix anymore. Who could possibly understand this more than Rudy? Rudy's FDA and FCC will allow Robertson to buy up as many radio stations as he wants, and TV stations too. Rudy's FDA will let Robertson to hawk cancer cures, guaranteed by god, all day and night on his stations.
"Don't take it personally. It's just business."

Huck could just find fruit and produce that looks like the Virgin Mary or Jesus and sell them on ebay. That would raise more money than he has so far.

Amen, Brother JD.

And why, oh why, does anyone pay any attention to Pat Robertson anymore? He doesn't represent me. Do you personally know any person of faith who believes Pat Robertson actually represents him or her? I go to church every Sunday unless I'm out of town (Columbia, Mo.), and I've never heard anyone at my church talk about Pat Robertson. I'm guessing that he started out with the best intentions but somewhere along the line became more interested in power than faith. I wonder why sometimes the media fixate on people like him (on both political sides) and portray people like him as representatives of people like me.

I remember a very powerful lecture by one of my theology professors about how the opposite of "love" is not "hate" but "power".
