Right to Life taps dead candidate
The National Right to Life Committee has endorsed Fred Thompson for president, he who once lobbied briefly for Planned Parenthood and who's said abortion should be left to the states, rather than subject of a national ban. Mike Huckabee issued a carefully modulated statement of disappointment. As well he should -- be disappointed and issue a careful statement. If there's a single issue that has distinguished the governor from his entry in public life, it's opposition to abortion. Back in the day when we were talking, we went round and round about it. He was seamless and resolute and absolute. But I still think Fred won't be around much longer. And it's beginning to look like Mike might be around for a long, long time.

the only way i can see MH being around for much longer is if the media continues to give him free publicity.
and i suppose they could be lying (er.. lowballing) but mikehuckabee.com shows November's fundraising goal as over 2mil $ with only 400k raised so far.
ARK. BLOG: I see no decrease in free media. Just the opposite.
