The blind hog

If you haven't been able to discern, we're not much of a fan of the gee-whiz Washington Post blogger Chris Cillizza, who'll fall for a smile and an Arkansas shoeshine every time. But he may be right this once. Actually, HE's not right. But he did a reader poll on the best political reporters in the various states and felt good enough about the results to announce winners in more than 30 of them. We couldn't argue with the Arkansas pick, even if we don't always see eye to eye: John Brummett.

We'd quibble with some on the list in other states, but ...

congratulations to john. it is a well deserved hnor. i was half expecting wally hall considering the source.

What happened to Brummett's Blog" He hasn't done anything with it since August.

And how will Bubba McCoy play to a national audience?

Sorry Chris, I would trade Doug Thompson any day. Doug is less presumptuous and willing to engage someone with a different view. Both Doug and Brummett write for the same newspaper chain.

I guess the kinds of people who read the naive Cillizza would vote for the arrogant ass Brummett.

What ?? You don't always agree with John?? I almost always agree with him...I do have a "small " bone to pick with him, back in November he nearly stood up the Pulaski County Democratic Women, he forgot, came late, talked quick and left early, I didn't get to question him thoroughly!
