The future first lady

Linda Douglass interviews Janet Huckabee. Among the topics -- packing heat.

Douglass: And you are something of a marksman. You have a concealed-weapon carrying permit as does the governor, is that correct?

Huckabee: I do. I would hardly say I'm a marksman. I definitely would not go that far. But again, I've had my concealed-weapon license for quite a while -- I've actually had mine longer than my husband. It's something that, I think, if you're going to have a weapon, you should go learn how to shoot it.

Douglass: I guess the question was, why a concealed weapon?

Huckabee: Well, because if you have one in your vehicle or something and it's under your seat, if you don't have a license you could be in serious trouble. I've traveled across the country with two females. I think it's a dangerous situation that perhaps you could be stranded. There's, to me, nothing wrong with being able to protect yourself.

Thelma & Louise & Janet.

Huck has Chuck Norris for protection, Thelma and Louis have Janet.

Ironic, that would mean Huck (a real live boy) would have a pretend protector and Janet ( real live boy, er, girl) would protect a pretend couple o women.

The Dailey show will have so much material in reserve when the writer's strike is over that my tv may explode.

Good Lord! Did Janet threaten the photographer with her concealed weapon to airbrush (photoshop?) every wrinkle from her face? Why didn't she get him to fix the crooked smile? C'mon, if you're going to pack heat make sure to use it wisely!

Admit it - she's right (about this one thing). Wonder if they're covering her snake hunting??

Salon did a somewhat humorous analytical piece about all the spouses of the 2008 presidential candidates. Click on name. It is 3 pages long and basically ranks them on how toxic they are to their respective campaigns. You'll be surprised by who wins (or loses if you like the candidate) this contest.

Of course it makes no difference who a President is married to. Look at the clinker First Ladies we've had. The only one that I really hate and enjoy hating is the mother of our current Commander & Partial Birth Abortion, George W. Bush. What a waste of human skin and bone old Babs is....and look what her tainted genes have produced in the way of sorry ass sons!

I will skip trashing Janet Huckabee because she doesn't look like a super model....I don't look so hot myself. But I am offended that she feels so entitled to free stuff along with her Man of the Cloth greedy husband. She is a Mike Huckabee enabler and has come to enjoy farting thru silk with the best of them.

Her deep desire to kill furry woodland creatures is 150 years out of place. In these modern times I'm very happy to have a mother and wife who have never hunted anything down and kilt it. My daughters have no blood-thirst either.....YAY! I myself wish I could apologize to the 5 or 6 squirrels I blew apart in my youth. It was totally unnecessary..my father was a good provider with an account at Thriftway IGA.

The dirty little secret about Janet is she is as common as Arkansas clay. This in itself is not a bad thing. I would not demean any grocery checking woman in Arkansas...and thank you for totaling up my purchases accurately all these years! But the gilding of the Janet Lily should be avoided by the Hucka-bunch. Let Janet be Janet and take your knocks. Every time I hear Janet speak, it is the collective female voices of common Arkansas people that I hear. Ideal for Arkansas....not good in Washington DC.

Mrs. Huckabee is best suited to have lived out her life in a simple split-level ranch house in Hope, Arkansas. If elected (700 foot tall IF) perhaps Janet would be best to follow Bess Truman's example and spend most of her time back at home in North Little Rock hiding from the press. Let the Virgin Mary of Huck's dreams keep him warm at night in the White House.

And after reading at Jake's link.....be on the lookout for Janet and Judith Guiliani to get together to have some yucks over killing puppies. Sometimes we get too much information in this Information Age. Janet Huckabee.......twice the man Mark Pryor is!

Jesus, Jake, I clicked your name and got into some kind of mobius loop Salon popup ad for its premium service that seized control of my computer and wouldn't let me regain control of my screen until I forced my browser to quit.

I guess my firewall is a mite more nastier than yours Claude. I remember closing one such popup the first time but it wasn't any further problem. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope that Salon doesn't make too much of a habit of these unwanted surprises.

Just curious, Max, did you touch up that photo or has Miz Janet had a facelift?

This pic has been seriously manipulated. They took out her adam's apple.

I've traveled across the country with two females. I think it's a dangerous situation that perhaps you could be stranded. There's, to me, nothing wrong with being able to protect yourself.<<

There you have it. The minister's wife trusting in earthly things more than god to protect her.

Why does this picture look like a resurected corpse?

Holy Moly--- I haven't seen such a brazen display of photoshopping in a long time. I'm assuming that they removed every flaw possible while trying desperately to preserve sufficient visual evidence that she is a human being. Mission not accomplished.
