The morning Huck
NEW HAMPSHIRE Q&A: Brummett offers one. It includes references to Hillary as Joan Baez when audiences want Beyonce; Obama (here predicted as the next president) as Gary Hart.
TEENYBOPPERS: Daniel Nasaw of the Guardian notes that a horde of teen males, lured by Chuck Norris, swelled the crowd at Mike Huckabee's rally in New Hampshire. For example:
"I'm a Huckabee supporter because who else can get Chuck Norris?" asked Gabe Smith, 18, from Wakefield, New Hampshire who described himself as a professional skateboarder. When pressed, he added, "I like it that he doesn't support the gays. That ain't right, that ain't in the Bible. He's not supporting the civil union thing."
THE RADICAL CLERIC: A writer in The Nation explains the making of the ad highlighting that, when it comes to religion, Mike Huckabee is more threatening than some on the left seem to realize. I linked the video yesterday. The link is repeated in the copy.
THE FIRST LADY: LA Times chats with the next lady of the White House.

Mr Smith appears to be a redneck punk, acts like one, and probally would talk like one if he lived in The South.

I dont' think the GI Bill or other means of financing higher levels of education are in the Bible either, but they are beneficial to society. All it takes to get this guy's vote is Chuck Norris. Geez. As Bugs would say, "what a maroon". Unfortunately, as the past 2 elections have taught us, maroons vote in large numbers without giving much thought to the candidate.

It's simply a tactic that candidates use when they fear they do not have enough to stand on. Obama is doing it with Oprah, Giuliani is doing the same with half of Hollywood and if the other candidates had a celebrity in their pocket they would exploit the relationship as well.
How much does the New Hampshire results matter anyway? Neither of the towns the votes were held in have predicted the winner year after year. Remember Wesley Clark? He won nearly half the votes there and where is he now?
I figure the tide will shift once the race gets through the South and heads to the larger states. Obama will maintain, but Hillary's popularity will increase making it a tighter race. On the Republican side, Huck will do well in the South. However, when the race moves to the larger states he'll see numbers similar to New Hampshire. McCain is strong in the states with large numbers of independents but needs elp in the south with blue collar folks and evangelicals. At some point there will be a McCain/Huck (or vice versa) ticket on the ballot.

>>Janet Huckabee lost a bid to be Arkansas secretary of state in 2002, even as her husband, on the same ticket, won reelection. She and her opponent engaged in negative attacks, and the campaign left scars, by her own account.<< LA Times
Do any of these media pundits ever check up on what political person alleges?
I recall the Charlie Daniels/Jetherine race enough to know that it was J Huckabee who did
99% of the negative campaigning, so much in fact that she came across as a clown.

I'm sure Huck appreciates any and all votes he gets. However, one can realistically guess that
Gabe never read James Baldwin, nor did Gabe's father, nor his grandmother.

in today's Washington Times (Moon) ...
"Mike Huckabee wants to amend the Constitution to prevent children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens from automatically becoming American citizens, according to his top immigration surrogate - a radical step no other major presidential candidate has embraced."
but he's a "nice" guy?

" The sins of the father visited upon the sons " ?
BOY SCOUTS KILL DOG!
ACTION NEEDED: DEMAND INVESTIGATION
(Miller County, Arkansas) Two boy scout counselors, 17 year old Clayton Frady and 18 year old David litickabee, the son of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, have admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death.
Camp officials, who did not report the crime to law enforcement officials, have admitted that the act did occur and have fired the boys from their positions. However, no charges have been filed against the young men.
Arkansas State Police conducted a perfunctory investigation, but did not attempt to locate witnesses to the crime.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Corntact: Mr. Tim Williamson, Prosecuting Attorney, 18th Judicial District, West, P.O. Drawer 109, Mena, AR 71953; Fax: (501) 394-6173
Please contact the prosecutor; request that the case be investigated
Notice Tim Williamson of current Janie Ward infamy was the prosecutor back then who file-13ed the case. It was 18-year-old paragon of Boy Scouting virtue, David Huckabee, NOT David litickabee, who was involved ! I can't believe the Huckabee's are apparently turning their backs on the Michael Vick / Dog Fighting vote by not exploiting David's contributions to the Huckabee legacy. Maybe they'll exploit the college student leader/scam-artist vote instead. Roym

Look for Huckabee to pull Mr. T out of the rest home and prop him up behind during his next speech in order to steal the black vote from Obama.
Bill Dana aka José Jiménez is still alive. Huck can get him to stand on the stage to lure in the Mexican vote before he deports them all. The tricky part is finding the right skinhead to capture the KKK vote. What happened to our resident KKK blogger? Wake up man, Huck can you use!

sexism being a theme today..
"a horde of teen males, lured by Chuck Norris"
may be half-accurate, as i believe there were likely a couple of other things that lured the teen male horde
