The real Mike Huckabee stands up
Theocrat: Read here.
Nativist: Read here.
Billionaires' servant: Read here.
Ethically challenged. Here's one of dozens of examples.
Question: Has the national media noticed? Or do they remain enthralled by Chuck Norris and laxative jokes?

Comments
Huckability :
The simultaneous act of saying something while seeking absolution for (not) saying it.
(see also: Bell Unrung)
"i didn't mean to use a cross in my ad" (but i did)
"i didn't mean to say 'metamucil'" (but i did)
"i don't wanna use the word 'conspiracy'" (but i did)
"i don't wanna use this attack ad" (but i did)
"i didn't mean to question Morman's faith, satan/jesus siblings" (but i did)
Huckabee has spent the past several months desperately trying to take away Gary Hart's 1987 title for saying the stupidest thing ever in national politics "Go ahead follow me, you'll be bored".
And monday night in Michigan, Huckabee may well have succeeded. (though the MSM has yet to highlight Huck's hari-kiri, imo)

This from a dear friend, a retired Navy commander regarding Bush's visiting the House of Saud:
"Watching NBC last couple of nights my over-riding thought was that there is no altruism involved in the hearts of any of these Asian or Arab "lenders." That this was, rather, an opportunistic, and probably co-ordinated, grab for power over the American economy.
Clearly Bush in the end crunch time has greater allegiance to his moneyed friends than to the "Christians" who worked so hard, often drastically against their own interests, to put him and keep him in office. They, of course, deserve the consequences but the rest of us who get dragged down with them don't. Their support of the blatantly ignorant and incompetent Huck proves their terminal stupidity."

Calling in all favors.
Tyson: Dumps chicken crap into our rivers and streams. Pollution Control and Ecology should shut them dowm, but no. Under Huck our nature boy, the crap just kept on flowing.
Stephens: Huckabee oversaw AR. State regulated Stephens bond business, banking business, natural gas business. Need I say more.
Murphy: Never ran Murphy Oil, but Huckabee appointed him to the State Highway Board so he could get improvement funds for the little traveled Little Rock to El Dorado stretch of road.
French Hill: Works in Huckakbee campaign
Ford: Worked for Stephens before getting a family job with a Stephens on the Alltel board.
Stephens and Ford thought so much of the Huckabee k-12 school progress that both started and funded two different private schools for their kids.

I can't get a read on this man's true intentions with illegal immigration.
I clearly remember him saying before the Hispanic community last year that his support of the assisted state college education funding to children of immigrants - illegal and otherwise - was a good thing because one day he'll be an old white man that will need the help of any Hispanics in the government. His ready admittal of this indicates he supports the legislation for all the wrong reasons.
Whether he said this or not is mute because I suspect he'd deny saying it or explain it away if asked about it today. But, its what I understood him to say.

Huck's dissembling is starting to catch up to him, but the MSM is not yet researching him with the same level of zeal they've used for other candidates.
He can always find someone else to blame for his errors. He plagiarizes from other campaigns, but does not seem to understand what he has appropriated. He complains that the media unfairly concentrates on his status as a preacher. When there is examination of his policies (or lack of), he hastens to bring in his faith and insinuates that anyone who criticizes him must be anti-Christian. He is exploiting the scheme of convincing believers that they are under attack. He hopes he can ride into office on the crest of a religious war waged in the political arena.
When you click on the blue name, you may have to scroll down a couple of entries to find the Bill of Rights (Bill of Smites) amended to God's standards.

BILL of SMITES indeed. Thanks Green Hermit. I think all those Christiofascists are funny until you realize some of them are outright dangerous.
The good thing about any Huck presidency is that he is so impeachable. Demos are one down on that now and I can think of no better use of a Demo-controlled House and Senate than a good impeachment.
