Another dishonest Bushie

It's shooting fish in a barrel to find dishonesty in the White House, I know. But this seemingly air-tight plagiarism case against the White House public liaison is rich because Timothy Goeglein has worked specifically with Christians and conservatives.

The fellow has confessed.

And, yep, he's a serial plagiarist. Working for serial liar. Figures.

What's the chance this gets "lost in the wilderness" of B HUSSIEN O'b, al Queada in Iraq and the expected demise of the Clinton candidacy...and Hannah Montana drinking ketchup on Leno?

We need a saying!

To a ma fiat type one might say he/she so crooked he'll have to be screwed into the grave when he dies -- what does one say about a whole ma fiat type administration to be DOD in January 09?

I guess in your endless disdain for conservatives, you seemed to miss the hawkish, fear-mongering, advertisement by the uncrowned goddess against Barry Hussein.

I am curious is you are still an Obamaist after Hillary!'s take?

"Vote for me, or your children DIE!" (h/t Kos)

I can just imagine your "righteous" indignation, and those of several commentators on this blog who would go ape-$h!t if John McCain ran this ad against Barry Hussein, or the woman who would be "Xena."

Nancy Pelosi, and most of her brood (Ross and Berry, thankfully not a part - in this instance) have accused the House GOP of "whipping up false fears" over their calls for a vote on the Senate FISA bill - saying Republican claims that America's security is threatened because our intelligence laws have reverted back to the 70s "are trying to use this issue to scare the American people."

I wonder if Nancy will call out the "warrior princess" for trying to similarly scare Democratic voters.

It's no big secret Hillary uses the Rove playbook, Red. That's part of her appeal to many Democrats -- that she'll get right down and lie, fight, scratch, kick, misdirect and kneecap right with the Republicans.

"Vote for me or your children die!!" is a tested way of motivating the average American sheep, I mean voter.

Sheep = Religious Wrong...

Arkansas Red - Your foot-work is particularly fancy today, but your failure to get humor, even in CAPs is no less surprising than your failure to understand the Speaker is calling out fear mongers who, as always, are lying (read false) in order to trump up the fear factor.

Get a grip.

So you are implying that the "warrior princess" is not mongering fear herself with this advertisement?

How do we know that she would actually be able to answer the phone at 3 a.m.? Should could be bitch-slapping Bubba as he comes home after canoodling with another 20-something at Madam's Organ in DC.

Mongering, in the sense used today, implies trumping up fear based on lies... Pelosi is speaking the truth about the lies of the Republicans (and Marx Pryor Dems purchased by Telco lobby money) and their intentional cover up/immunity of Bush and big Telco crimes..placing fourth amendment protections in further jeopardy at a time when we should be prosecuting instead of defending enemies domestic.

It's really very simple, get a warrant to spy on American citizens as has always been required.. if you didn't..then go to jail and pay a fine. No basket warrants, and destroy any and all info garnered illegally or accidentally.. no cover-up of crimes based on lies or shrouded in secrecy.

This is Water Gate times potentially several billion in magnitutde.

The debate over immunity is a Red Herring in the argument over whether we should be allowed to gather intelligence overseas. The telcos aren't facing jail time, they are facing lawsuits for cooperating with a request made by the government to provide documents and data - which they own.

If there were something illegal about it, then why hasn't anyone been charged with a crime. Moreover, why are there no potential lawsuits being filed for negligence against the government worker who made the request to the phone companies? The reason: those trial lawyers want a fat settlement check, and the reason Pelosi wants to allow the lawsuits to move forward is to collect more donor dollars from the shysters for the DCCC.

The debilitation of our intelligence capabilities is a very real security concern. The Democrats own Senate chair, Sen. Rockefeller, said so himself. Pointing that out is not, apologies to Madam Pelosi, fear mongering. However, since she considers that point to be fear mongering, it would follow that the actions of Xena! would earn similar scorn.

No impediment (warrants are not required) exists in re gathering foreign intelligence nor is anyone suggesting there should be such impediments..except in what secures American citizens liberty (don't vacuum everything and save it for use in blackmail or as evidence unavailable to the accused) . Liberty is the most important form of security. Unfettered intelligence community is the greatest violation.. especially in the hands of a unitary executive (or private corporations or rogue intel operatives).. which no US president or vice president (from any party) should ever be.

These are good points, Eureka. But they are not why Pelosi is keeping the extension of PAA (FISA) off the floor. Her gripe is immunity for the telcos.

"If there were something illegal about it, then why hasn't anyone been charged with a crime."
Probably because the Justice department is full of Loyal Bushies.

"Moreover, why are there no potential lawsuits being filed for negligence against the government worker who made the request to the phone companies?"

I think the government employee was not negligent, they were just following orders from president which has hidden behind executive privilege statements.

Bush administration has shown over and over again when it comes to security concerns, intelligence is not their best capability.

"Her gripe is immunity for the telcos."
Hell yeah, my gripe too....

Break the law , then ask for permission???

That may be the case, but the government employee can still be sued. It is the only way "the government" can be sued for relief. If these lawsuits were truly more than a money grab (say, striking a noble blow in the name of civil liberties), then the "government," via its workers (who are potentially liable for negligence) would also be part of the lawsuit.

Absent this, it is plainly obvious that Madam Pelosi is more concerned with letting her shyster supporters sue than actually putting national security first. The Senate has passed a new FISA bill, one negotiated with the administration. Now, Pelosi is holding us up from beginning any new intelligence operations by making us play by Disco/8-track-era rules when al-Qaeda is using Bluetooth, and then calling House Republicans "fear-mongers" when they point that fact out.

All, I'm asking if Madam Pelosi will call out her sistah for fear-mongering among their party's voters?

How would any Lawyer even know the government employee who even made the request. It's all Top Secret. How convenient...

Yeah like Bush has put national security first. He has diverted the real war on terrorism in Afghanistan, to wasting are time money and national resources in Iraqi. And you bring up Nancy Pelosi crap give me a break.....

ITS OFFICIAL! WELCOME TO THE BUSH-BOUND RECESSION

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080228/D8V3GT1O2.html
". . . President Bush said Thursday the country is not recession-bound and, despite expressing concern about slowing economic growth, rejected for now any additional stimulus efforts. "We acted robustly," he said.

"We'll see the effects of this pro-growth package," Bush told reporters at a White House news conference, acknowledging that some lawmakers already are talking about a second stimulus package. "Why don't we let stimulus package 1, which seemed like a good idea at the time, have a chance to kick in? . . ."

Yeah, George. And there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, Osama lies dead in a cave on the Pakistan border, democracy is spreading like measles from the seed in Iraq, the Bush Administration has successfully stopped Nuclear Proliferation in North Korea and you know exactly how to deal with your soul-mate Putin . . . .

click on the handle

It's my impression the suits are simply trying to get information out in the open at this point in time.. it's not yet time to sue for damages. If the information currently sought turns up to be as criminal as many think then the pursuit of financially accountability must be pursued. An additional danger in re some methods of suggested immunity is that Telcos could be in trouble totaling well over a trillion dollars..and Specter, Rockerfeller, Pryor, Bushco et al want to make (thru immunity provisions) we the people/the government liable for any and all awards. Also, in re government officials, they have no duty to honor illegal orders..in fact, quite the opposite. And any executive giving illegal orders should in know way be the recipient of immunity from asking people or companies to conduct illegal maneuvers.. Impeachment is the very least we can and must demand of any and all government workers involved in illegal activity.

No matter what.. those who gave these illegal orders must be held to account.. Starting with the top of the White House and top of the intel community involved...perhaps in the DOJ as well.

Although I am cautiously encouraged by the current fight in the House.. after watching the Senate and the House on this issue since they allowed PAA to begin with last August.. I tend to agree nearly half of Dems and ALL Republicans are not on the side of the constitution, liberty, or the rule of law.

When "religious" people involve themselves so deeply in the more-or-less dirty business of politics, they often show their religion, like their beauty, is only skin deep. I often wonder how Huckabee explains to himself the reason God would call him to preach, and then want him to go into politics and leave the pulpit. I have many relatives who have been fooled by these Pharisees who claim the Bible and patriotism belong to them. I wouldn't want to trade places with Goglein or most of the other politicized evangelical conservatives on the day they explain to their maker just how this all came about and what made them think they were doing something good. Hmmmmmmmmm.

>>The debate over immunity is a Red Herring in the argument over whether we should be allowed to gather intelligence overseas. The telcos aren't facing jail time, they are facing lawsuits for cooperating with a request made by the government to provide documents and data - which they own.<<

Let's unpack yet another crate of Red's herrings.

The debate, as Pelosi made very clear yesterday, is whether we will abide by the U.S. Constitution. This requires court overview, in most cases, before the executive branch can trample on the Constitutional protection against unwarranted searches. It's true that telecom corps may own the signals which transmit the data but they don't own the information contained therein. 'Pound of flesh but not one drop of blood.' The lawsuits could be brought against them on Constitutional grounds, that is why Bush wants immunity because the telecoms violated U.S. law and Bush wants them to be able to violate U.S. law with immunity otherwise there would be no need for Bush's request. .

It's good that this time around they are simply plagiarizing. I suppose humping little boys and girls has gotten them kicked out of office. How's the old toe-tapping stall guy doing Red?

"Republican U.S. Justice Department official John David R. Atchison, 53, an assistant U.S. attorney from the northern district of Florida, has been arrested on suspicion of traveling to Detroit over the weekend to have sex with a 5 year old child."

"Republican Party Chairman Donald Fleischman, 37, of Allouez, Wisconsin was charged last month with two counts of child enticement, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child and a single charge of exposing himself to a child for allegedly fondling a 16-year-old Ethan House runaway and providing the boy with beer and marijuana late last year.

"The Republican Mayor, who is also the Pastor of the Temple Lot Church in Collins Missouri, a town in St. Clair County, is accused of trying to convince someone whom he thought was a teenage girl to meet him for sex. Diamond police say Allen D Kauffman is charged in Newton County with four counts of enticement of a child after an online investigation that began in mid-November.

"Republican sex offender & Department of Children & Families press secretary Al Zimmerman, 40, was arrested Friday, Feb 1, 2008 and charged with eight felony charges of using a child in a sexual performance. According to an arrest report, Zimmerman offered two teens money in exchange for photographing them in sexual acts.

"Republican Delegate Robert McKee, known as an advocate for children's rights, is the focus of a child pornography investigation after officers searched his Hagerstown, Md home. "

Kinky Sex = a feather
Republican Kinky Sex = the whole bird plus a child.
.

Update on the original post topic... Plagerizer resign from WH (WH link at my name)

Yeah, he resigned. Turns out over 50% of his columns were lifted.
Crooks, liars, and thieves. That's the Bush White House.
