Argumentum Argentum

Levy Project alleges that the city of NLR, presumably to tighten a budget stretched by the mayor's grandiosity and calamitous electric rates, wants to put firefighters and cops to work answering telephones. The contract with the firefighters' union doesn't allow it.

So much for community spirit.

Sounds like the old union days where you got barked at if you picked up a hammer to hand it to the card-carrying carpenter unless you were a member of the union.

Does this mean that , in the event of a disaster, firefighters won't help with any efforts that aren't listed in their job descriptions?
