He could always finance his library the same way WJC did: sell pardons to people like Marc Rich and Pincus Green.

Is this consistant with disclosure (or non) of previous libraries or have previous presidents been more or less revealing.

If he did disclose, he would just continue the same policy he has for the past 2,596 days and I expect for the next 326 days, lie!
That is his legacy. A policy of untruth and prevarication that makes every other President in History appear to be a paragon of virtue and truthfulness in comparison.
What will be displayed in the library? A host of folders stamped Top Secret or Presidential Priviledge emptied of missing papers and documents like the ubiquitous emails and visitor logs. A series of framed photographs draped in black serge to hide the identity of the other lobbyists (since Abramoff's has already leaked and been published) photographed with the Liar-in-Chief to protect his legacy from the besmirching smear of truth.
Perhaps the modern Justice Department Briefing Room sculpture with the exposed breasts and the curtains that Ashcroft have made to conceal the offending art from prurient eyes and leave the concealed swell to CCRRR's imaginations? Certainly the jumpsuit worn to ride the C.O.D. to the USS Abraham Lincoln, although he had given up his pilots license some thirty year before on his TDY to the Alabama Air Guard Senatorial Election Campaign Detachment. Maybe they will even have some photographs with the rest of the C.O.D. passengers debarking in street clothes in the background of the photograph of "Top Liar" George flipping everyone the thumb without every dropping or losing grip of his crash helmet?

Ya know by the time a President is picking out the drapes for his Presidential Library...it's a little late to worry if he's a crook or not. If there was crookin going on...it's already been done. And usually after 8 years of the feller, we're just so glad to see them go we don't give a FK whose arm they twist to get their library dipped in gold.
As far as Bush is concerned, he's not told us jack shit since he started running back in 1999 and what he does tell us is a damn lie. I figure a few years from now we'll find out the Surge didn't work at all and that there are vast warehouses in the deserts of Iraq with stacks and stacks of dead US soldiers. They'll sneak them back home after this election is over and because they died in a war and are all torn to hell, no one will look in the casket and see they've been dead for a year. Oh really.....you don't think the Cheney-Bush are that evil? Are you high?
When you say transparency.....it makes me fantasize of a giant transparent prison made of bullet proof glass. Inside, every FK'ing member of the Bush administration. If SMU really wants to draw a crowd, build Bush a glass prison and people will flood across our borders to see the neo-con monkeys in their cage. Let their torturing asses bake as they roam naked in their glass prison in the hot Texas sun. They deserve far worse.
Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.* is working on me! His speech posted elsewhere on this blog about standing up for the rights of gays and lesbians makes me think if he gets in office he might just do a turn around and see that every guilty person in the Bush administration is indicted and put on trial for their crimes in office.
President Obama can free the 8 innocent ones and see that the rest get their just desserts. And it wouldn't surprise me if Cheney, Bush, Condi and a few others don't wind up wearing Saddam neck-ties. If Beebe had done the right thing and investigated his predecessor, Huck wouldn't be parading around on SNL. What if the next President astounded the whole world and did it all right? OHmagod!
*I will type Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. in every post from now on. Don't you FK'ing let the Republicans demonize his name. How big a pussy would Democrats appear to be if we tip toe around the man's given name. Say it loud and proud and just dare someone to smirk about it. Get mean...it's the only way we'll win.

Veryyyyyyyyyy disappointed (understatement perhaps) in the bureau cy of the Methodist hierarchy! Not one by a long shot but always had high respect for their down home honesty and ethics!
How can they sink so low -- allowing the worse president this country has every had to build his library on (SMU) one of their most prestigious campuses?

Red Arss, Who the HELL is Bubba?<<
Good ol boys are often called bubba, once a Southern euphemism for brother, and red directs it at Bill Clinton.

What caught me with that Am Statesman article is how Bush language is identical to Lil Bush on Comedy Central.
Life imitating art?

Elwood,
I always liked Marlon Brando's proununciation from The Chase . . . "Bubber." It's also onomatopoeic of ArRed's comments.
