Taxing gas production
There's a compelling argument for taxing the withdrawal from Arkansas of a finite resource, natural gas, largely sold in other states. But Brummett says it's not being made in the ongoing work by Gov. Mike Beebe and pro-tax activist Sheffield Nelson to raise the rate.
