Busy day at LR National

The Little Rock National Airport is hopping today. But that doesn't mean everyone is going anywhere.

Thunderstorms and torrential rain closed the Dallas-Fort Worth airport, an airport news release said. In addition to disrupting flights to and from Little Rock, weather forced the diversion of a number of flights, American and USAir, to Little Rock. The airport is staying busy looking after some 600 grounded passengers, bused into the terminal from planes out on the tarmac.

Kathy Webb was slated to address NWA Sr Demos today and could not get here due to flooding somewhere along the line. Several members from outlying areas were absent due to flooded roads
and bridges. It is super wet in NWA, rivers are full and so are many city streets. Nice thing is I get to practice fly casting right out front of the house in the street.

Bad weather
