It takes six days for the AT&T repair crew to get here from India.

We retired our land line years ago. Never miss the thing. cable internet and mobile phones, no need to pay for land line.

This one is easy, AT&T is too busy spying on us for Cheney-Bush and shoveling money into Mark W. Pryor's campaign fund to get out and repair your broke Princess phone. We should start shunning their workers like they were Halliburton for all the evil they're laying on America.
Ain't no Taliban cost me so much money per month or done as much damage to American freedom as AT&T. Big Brother thy name is AT&T.

When the storm took out my cable line, my cable co. advised that it would take 2 days to repair it. While I was without TV and internet, at least, I had a phone (land line). I cannot seem to be able to convince myself that I should get TV, phone and internet services from one company. It is good we all have options. I remember Ma Bell.

Our local Cox cable gave this neighborhood problems for almost one year before we got it solved. When they sent a service person it was a contract laborer. The fellow across the street who used a digital cable phone thought it was the worst thing he had ever done. Finally a call to our reliable city councilman did the trick.

Remember when the Feds broke up Ma Bell -- and we had competition for a while? Then the Republicans came in, gutted pro-competition and anti-trust laws and AT&T as reborn more monolithic than ever? And the better service brought on by competition? Gone the way of "compassionate conservatism."
We may be the only phone company in town . . . and we act like it.

Our politicians are controlled by AT&T's lobbyists, so AT&T will continue ass-raping Arkansas consumers for the foreseeable future.

You're right Ark. Blogger -- they spend more on lobbyists than on repair technicians.

OK. DSL went out during the big storm a week ago Wednesday. Fried my modem.
Two days of intolerable calls to useless "service" centers. (In the agricultural sense of the word)
When you get to speak with an American, it's just great. Very professional.
The tech who came out (Monday) was super and stayed with my problem till it was fixed.
Does anybody else have problems with the SWBELL email server? Now THAT is a mess!
And I envy Max!

I had problems in '06 and it took one month to restore my system. Don't call the PSC as they will laugh at you if you complain about AT&T.

I just experienced a a problem with e-mail. It froze up, would not display for several days. I finally got on the att chat with the tech and got it fixed, but it took almost three hours. I find the chat to be more productive than trying to talk to a real person who does't speak English.

When electricity goes out, call Entergy. Get a "Entergy" rep who tells you approx what time electricity will resume. No sales involved.
When land line goes out, call AT&T. Get sales rep. They are not concerned if phone is out. They are concerned in "selling" maintenance contract. ...just in case the problem is inside your home.
My whole neighborhood lost phone service in February. I helped many of my elderly neighbors place "outage" calls to AT&T. After listening to the selling spew 5 different times, for 5 different neighboring locations... UGGHHH!
No customer service. Just sales. Disgusting.
