Good morning
This link will take you to a video that has but a tenuous link to Arkansas. We have pig farmers, we have the Razorbacks and we like Tammy Wynette and that was reason enough for me to post it. Plus, it's 9:17 a.m. and time to put something on the blog!

Let's get the party started, shall we?
From the hear no evil, see no evil department:
Clinton supporters who would vote for McCain over Obama = 28%
Obama supporters who would vote for McCain over Clinton = 19%

"If getting shot at by sniper fire qualifies you to be president, then there are thousands of guys in the military right now who are way more qualified than Hillary Clinton to be our next president."

ARed - "Discuss"
Obama/Clinton/McCain - One word: Race!
Sniper fire as qualification: Rules out most politicians in office.
Still, none of this reaches the level of the 1828 election. The attacks on Jackson and his wife were so vicious that some attribute the death of Jackson's wife, Rachel, before he took office to the pain and suffering she endured because of such attacks.
One wonders what happened to the discussion of issues and policies.

Thanks Arkansas Red..
Link in my name to the poll
I really don't think 28% will actually vote for McCain, I think it just shows how sour the grapes really are on the Hillary side and how bitter they are that her entitlement is slipping away.
At least, we can put to rest the bogus claims that Obama supporters are the "my way or the highway" voters; this poll clearlt shows that Hillaryphiles are the ones who want to win and want to play by their rules otherwise they will leave and theri ball with them.
Nothing McCain does worries me for a General election, I really really admire him and thought it was disgusting what George W. did to him in South Carolina BUT the guy is simply toooo damn old and too damn out of touch and tooo loyal to a failed policy to win a general election against either Obama or Hillary.
Poor Hillary trying to resurrect the Wright thing again, it is sad how desperate she is to win.
I think it should be Obama/ Hagel 2008 or Obama/ Warner 2008
Anybody watch Frontline's special on Bush's War...that shit was incredible
Come on Peacock, just because Max is in Chnia does not mean the blog cannot be politically or culturally relevant
Potential topics:
The John Adams mini series and how freaking incredible it is...its not TV its HBO

Why Jon Stewart is immensely more funny than Tina Fey
Why 30 Rock is the most overrated show on TV and how Alec Badwin is the only funny thing on the show
Why Amy Poehler is immensely more funny than Tina Fey
Why does everyone love Tina Fey all of a sudden? including Vanity Fair
(it has to do with her Hillaryphile moment on SNL)

30 Rock overrated? It's a great show! In fact, I love it so much I could take it behind a middle school and get it pregnant.

Orval,
I'm completely with you on the John Adams mini series, but I have to draw a line somewhere. I can't allow you to talk poorly about my future second ex-wife, Tina Fey. I've been infatuated with that woman for years now, and I'm not giving up on her because of her momentary lapse of judgement in her support for Hillary. We all make mistakes. Hell, look at how big of a mistake George and Barbara Bush made!

"Apparently it's okay to say bad things about a girl," he said laughing, in an apparent reference to his 60-year-old wife, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, per ABC News' Z. Byron Wolf.
Gotta love that Bubba!
Where's the NOW-gang with their condemnation?

If Robert Altman wasn't dead I would have bet he made the Stand by Your Ham as part of something larger.
But from the looks of the chorus they have stood over their hams a few too many times.

"Yeah, so, no evasive maneuver. I gotta tell ya, I will give it to the commander of Air Base Eagle. He had that place - you know, not only were there no bullets flying around, there wasn't a bumblebee flying around. He had that place locked up tight."

It would be interesting to know how many voters with a cell phone, but not line phone, were contacted in the polling. I don't trust polling as much as I use to because the gen-x'ers are voting in huge numbers, but a large number are not being reached by the pollsters.
