Huckabee interview
1) No, he's not running for Senate.
2) He's not "running" for consideration as V.P., that's strictly McCain's call.
3) He's already got some more speaking gigs lined up.
Speaking of Senate: U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor filed for re-election today. You can go here and click "view all candidates" to see filing so far. Only a half-day left. Action was light today. So far, about 15 House and one Senate race are shaping up for the November ballot. There are other primary contests.

Whenever I want to know exactly what Huckabee's wearing, what brand toothpaste he's using, etc....I know where to go.

The coming statewide political season seems like an afterthought with the presidential primary long concluded around here. I still think it makes more sense to have all the primaries at one time, in May. Less expensive too, but then when did expense make a difference with political animals? They just make us suckers pay for it and go merrily on.

Hey, it looks to me as if there are three state senate races in the offing thus far:
Gilbert Baker vs. Joe White
Jim Luker vs. Denny Sumter
Larry Teague vs. Scott Sullivan
I know, Max, math was not my forte in school, either.

Oops, Max, my sincerest apologies.
After making the above post, I read yours again and saw where I overlooked the fact that you were referring to the general election.
Of course, I should have known that you knew that Luker/Sumter, and Teague/Sullivan were Democrat party contests and Baker/White was the only November race.
Again, I'm so sorry. And I thought that I was a pretty good reader.

I gotta say congrats Max. You made it thru 11 hours of blogging without a Huckem post. I was pulling for an entire day.

Not sure if we'll have an open line tonight, so if no one minds I'll put up this fun and interesting piece about a design contest for the George W. Bush Presidential library. There's a video, too.

Oh thatst the ghost of Orville Faubus and George Wallace had stood in the doorway and prevented Mark W. Pryor from filing for re-election. Segregating the fake Democrats from the real ones is the only segregation I support. A vote for Mark W. Pryor is a vote for some more George W. Bush. When it comes to voting him out of office have no Pryor obligations!

Naw, we haven't heard the last of Huck. His ego is so inflated now its impossible for him to
step out of the spotlight.....sends chills down my spine.
There must be an OPEN MIC for the weekend, but where does everyone run off to??? I have
noticed a big slow down, on w/ends, then it picks up again on monday morn.
QUESTION....my Daddy used to strum guitar and sing a song, when I was a very little girl...
driving me nuts,,,,can only remember a few words,,," ALL AROUND THE WATER TANK JUST
WAITIN FOR A TRAIN."
Jog any memory????????????????????

Jazzy, the song you were inquiring about (that your father used to sing) was made popular by Jimmy Rogers, "The Singing Brakeman," during the Great Depression.
Here's a link on Youtube to someone doing a far inferior version of the great tune.
