Greetings. The city was everything I'd hoped, steamed dumplings and buns included. On to Hiroshima.

Oh lordy, you're a braver man than I am, Max. It's cold and gloomy over here on the left side of the state and I'm so damn glad I don't even have to go to Van Buren tonight. I gots my space heater tween my legs, the dogs are gathered around (boy they stink tonight), t'won't be no cooking tonight either.
I'm going to have Chef Billy at the Sonic fix a bag of his finest burgers. American food for an American family! But tell us Max, is it hot or cold in China today? Do they have mosquitoes? How's the air smell? What's the time difference? Are the glasses and dishes at the food joints clean? Do they have X rated movies or porn shops? How about churches on every corner like here in Fort Baptist? In my opinion the only stranger place would be Mars.
Be careful in Hiroshima! Dad was there and I think that's what killed him 35 years after the war. If the hair on your neck starts standing up.....run! And do come back.....Arkansas ain't the same without ya.
How much for the dim sum? Max, yer killin' me here!
I envy your timing.. Cherry blossoms in Japan.. Perhaps a cherry blossom tea ceremony at The Shukkeien Garden.. or a visit to Peace park (ground zero).
One of my favorite bars near Hiroshima held six people, including the bartender.
The main complaint I had in Nippon was their breakfast foods... no eggs, no dairy, no bread. cold beans. So sleep in!

Craig and Brent Renaud, Little Rock's famous documentarians, have a project in the works that's a natural followup to "Off to War," their award-winning depiction of Arkansas citizen soldiers in Iraq.

Extremism in support of private insurers is no virtue, and President Bush was defiantly unvirtuous in resisting a Medicare bill that preserves and strengthens government-funded health care for elderly Americans.
