Steve Clark for mayor?
I'm just guessing, but sounds like Steve Clark, who quit as attorney general for felony expense account fraud, is going to run for mayor of Fayetteville.

"Clark has been sober for "13 years, six months and six days," he said Wednesday
I would say that tops W.s record.

He is in. This will add something to an otherwise boring year.
But yes. He is going to run.

I think it would be great
to see Steve Clark back
in public service. After
all that happened, he
kept going and made it
right. What a great
example of how you can
make mistakes, learn from
them, and be productive.
What a great example of
the human ability to turn
our lives around.

Spouting 12 Step horseshlit and once having been a somebody doesn't qualify Vino Steve for Mayor of Fayetteville. At least he's lived here longer than Walt Eilers, but the entire time Steve has lived here Lioneld Jordan was serving on the City Council, and Lioneld never missed a meeting. Did Steve even watch any on TV? I know I've never seen him at a meeting, and I've attended hundreds.
Lioneld is the only person in the race who has ever spent any time in City Hall at all, and knows how it works and why it doesn't work sometimes and how to fix it. He will respect the will of the City Council and allow staff to work on what the Council wants it to work on.
Oh yeah, the Chamber guy Koenig has spent some time in City Hall, trying to prevent anything benefiting the public good while shilling for the right wing platform of the Chamber. He's been there to oppose the sign ordinance, tree protection, hillside protection, impact fees, grading permits... all things dear to the heart of the citizens of this wacky town and the aldermen they elected.
Well, we can't have a mayoral race in Fableville without lots of clowning, and then we'll have another one because we're sure to have a runoff.
