Hey jazzy...is your head above water in Hot Springs?? Luckily we didn't get too much rain in Coway; we're already saturated...the saturation has got me wondering about flood insurance. But then I remember that it's very expensive, not available to just anyone and that if we flood where we're at...we'll get disaster relief and that means our government will, at least, help us...hahahahahaha. Heck, we don't even have a Super Dome.
Prayers/good wishes to those who are suffering because of the bad weather. Every time our house is still standing I know we were just lucky.
Lordy mercy me, Miz Z, ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All night long,,,,kids n Grands started calling about 11 p., to check on us....late night
ringing phones scare the pee out of me, had too many with tragic news.
We are on a hill, lake below and it is lapping over the seawall,,,heard downtown is flooded....
Hubby just took off to check things out around town, hope he stops by the liquor store,
if this keeps up I might need a stiff one or two or three!!!!!!!!!!
Damn!!!!! just heard thunder..........
bye
I could smell that major gas leak in nearby Cammack from my front yard last night, and it wasn't a faint smell. We spent about an hour down in the "fraidy-hole" (unfinished basement) listening to Ed Buckner on the radio.
I was all put out about having no power until I drove through the neighborhood a while ago. I saw significant (yet spotty) damage in Cammack Village and Kingwood. Power lines down; large trees uprooted.
We're still without power at home, but consider ourselves fortunate.

C'mon, AT staffers. Wake up. CNN didn't call LR a "like a war zone." A witness did. "It's scary, it's like a war zone," he said.
