The D.C. prostitution case

U.S. Sen. David Vitter won't be called to testify for the defense in the trial because his attorney said he'd invoke the Fifth Amendent. By tacitly admitting to participation in illegal activities, Vitter wouldn't exactly help the defense. Doesn't add much to his reputation, either.

Comments

If Vitter and his escort didn't restrain themselves to fantasy, they weren't alone. The prosecution has called more than a dozen of Palfrey's former escorts to testify, and it hasn't been pretty. From The Washington Post:<<

OH! For soot! No more orange juice vs. coffee commentary for Miss Chris Matthews. This will give the beltway pussies something really big to push under a very crowded table. But wait! SEX SELLS.
But wait! Republicans are never guilty they just resign, go talk to the Lord and do the All-American poltical thing- "spend time with family."

I fully expect Vitter to be Honest John McCain's pick for his running mate.

One thing good about Congressman laying up in bed with a fancy hooker......while they're FK'ing them, at least they aren't FK'ing us. America would be better off if we assigned everyone in Congress their own personal whore. At least that way Jeff Gannon/Guckert would get to see his old Republican friends again.

Floor me again DBI! Great one!

Mythology at its best. Goebbels would have been proud. Click on Cato

Cato, I don't know why the picture at your link reminds me of the big wall mural of them dogs playing poker that used to be on the wall of the old Pete's Place here in Fort Baptist. I'm pretty sure them poker playing dogs were a myth too, but far as I can tell they never hurt nobody.....unlike some of the dogs at your link. I really could have enjoyed this picture if GWB had not been included. By now he's made me wistful for the good ole Nixon days. Yikes!

Somehow Cato things got to swirling around and this and that got confused with last nite's hymnal selections. Is that a pic of the hymn "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder?"
What's Dwight doing with a bunch of crooks?
.

I'm confused. As far as I know, there's no federal law against prostitution except it is against the law to transmit a woman across a state line to rent some. Perhaps he's taking the Fifth to keep from getting charged with solicitation by the State of Louisiana.

That must be it.

"What's Dwight doing with a bunch of crooks? "

Remember Ike's chief of staff Sherman Adams and the mink coats, refrigs, etc.?

Rep. John Boozman visited 14 countries, including such places as Djibouti and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Yet the peripatetic Boozman is not considered expert in foreign affairs. Far from it. "He's a little behind," Republican leaders say privately. /more/
