Judicial candidate hypes record

Ron Williams, the Jim Holt-backed candidate for Court of Appeals in Northwest Arkansas, has exaggerated his record as a part-time prosecutor, says a judge who was prosecutor in the district where Williams worked.

A Hutchinson-Holt-Wingnut fibbing! Having folks write letters to ed about his extensive court room experience which isn't true! Oh tell me it ain't so.

Felonies are not tried in Municipal (now District) Court. That court only has jurisdiction over misdemeanors. Anyone aspiring to be a Judge on the Arkansas Court of Appeals should know this basic law.

Pleased by the U.S. Supreme Court decision in favor of guns, the president of the Arkansas Rifle and Pistol Association told newspaper reporters that the ruling would make it harder for legislators to introduce limits on gun ownership. /more/
