Tim Griffin redux UPDATE

He's baaaaack. Tim Griffin, the Bush administration hit man who was scheduled to wield a political cudgel in the U.S. attorney's office in Little Rock until U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor and others stood up, may be headed back to work doing what he does best -- sliming Democrats. At least this time he wouldn't be doing it with other political hacks chosen by the Bush Administration to turn the Justice Department into yet another of their political tools.

Thanks to RT for the heads-up on Robert Novak today:

McCain is not about to disarm. His campaign has no intention of fighting this battle on Democratic turf. During the more than five months ahead, Republicans will explore the mindset of this young man [Obama] who is a stranger to most Americans. That includes his association with the Chicago leftist William Ayers, who has remained unrepentant about his violent role as a 1960s radical. This will not be popular with McCain's erstwhile admirers in the mainstream news media, but America has not heard the last of Bill Ayers in this campaign.

Indicating what lies ahead is the McCain campaign's plan to bring in Tim Griffin, a protege of Karl Rove, who is a leading practitioner of opposition research -- digging up derogatory information about opponents. Although final arrangements have not been pinned down, Griffin would work at the Republican National Committee, as he did in Bush's 2004 re-election campaign.

It is an article of Democratic faith that John Kerry would have been elected president had not Republicans undermined public confidence in his leadership and integrity by assailing his performance as a Swift boat commander in Vietnam. McCain, idolized by much of the news media in 2000 as the potential Bush slayer, is now stigmatized as adopting not only his former intraparty adversary's policies but also his tactics.

An Arkansas source confirmed this report on Griffin's future to me and now comes Talking Points Memo with more. Still more from Think Progress. And, now, Karl Rove has been subpoenaed to talk about the Justice purge.

"TIMMEH"

Game on.

LOL!! Novak gets it, sort of. I watched with interest and finally with dismay, at the complete inability of the Clinton campaign to criticize Obama as a Presidential prospect without being branded racist by Obama supporters and the "liberal" media, soon followed by all the media.

Now we shall see how Republicans deal with this issue. There is nothing they can say that won't be turned into a slur, so grab some chips and a beer - the ride is going to be interesting. LOL. Now that he's more or less captured the nomination, - Go Barak, Go!

Tim's parents must be so proud.

So McCain is going to get Griffin to do what was done to his friend John Kerry in '04 and what was done to himself in '00? There is no semblance of the McCain that ran in 2000.

Ah hah...I suspected that McBush's nice-crap was as sincere as Dubya's denial he had anything to do with the swiftboating of war hero, Kerry. (I'm soo smart...hahaha.) That racist crap won't work on Republicans like it worked on Bill/Hillary...and you can bet there'll be plenty of racism and plenty of McBush's denials. The only unknown is whether the MSM will continue its Obama lovefest or whether it will, once again, bow down to its corporate masters: The Republican Party. I fear that by the time November rolls around, a great many will know, regardless of facts, that Obama is a secret Muslim sent to destroy Amurika.

Evidently Griffin is like Wolfowitz...given the depth of their dirt/complicity there will ALWAYS be a Republican job waiting for them. (Still can't believe neocon Wolfie actually had a girlfriend...)

Oh, Zelda. I'm glad you reminded me of Wolfowitz's girlfriend......... I used to wonder if kissing him wouldn't be like just brushing your teeth again.

Max,

A rehash of stuff they've already posted is hardly "more" on this particular story from Think Progress.

"More" usually advances the story.

A "journalist" should know better.

Criminal Cagey Tim, back in the Yakusa RNC saddle again... The RNC knows any chance of "winning" relies on stealing elections..

His bullet quote @ the TPM link... did he say that s recently as Huck at the NRA?

Either way, we know what we need to know, they intend to lie, cheat, and steal.. the fascist have nothing else in their arsenal. Will be interesting to see how it works this time around with 4 dollar gas..and McCain raising less money this year than Obama raises in an average month.

It's time to release a whole lot of non violent criminals from our prisons.. and make room for the GOP war criminals and their brown shirt fascist minions...like Tim.

Speaking of stealing elections, it looks like the Democrat Party allegedly violated the Voting Rights Act.

Shocking!

The last time I substituted for the Kindergarten teacher at our local primary school, no one had to tell me that those 5 yr olds are like monkeys, whose job is to climb trees and swing from the branches, while my job was to keep them firmly planted on the ground. Climbing trees and swinging from branches is in their genes.

We don't need an article or talking head to tell us Republicans will lie, cheat and steal. It's in their genes.... and sometimes even in their jeans.

Tim Griffin will be a liability to McCain's campaign, just as he was to Fred Thompson's.

Why is it that whenever I look at a repug, male or female, I think of slime?????

LOL, Jazz. That smarmey face does have the look of "I have a huge collection of kiddie-porn", doesn't it.....lol

I hate to keep going to the Soprano's well all the time, but damn it, so many things about that TV show seem to fit in real life. Notice how Tony nearly always relied on the same pack of hoodlums to watch his back and carry out his dirty deeds? Oh now and then he'd bring in a hit man from Italy or something, but most of the time the same ugly faces kept turning up over and over.

Same with the Republican Party. So that means Tim the Dim has a chance for lifelong employment in the Republican Dirty Deeds Department. He'll be back time after time when some big R needs a tool to use as a tool. Toolish Tim fits into so many ugly Republican schemes because he's had so much practice at being bad. Unfortunately for the R's, their Mafia is pretty damn stupid....that's why we even know about Timmy Gee. They all got that I'm a grown man with a kid's face thing going on.....I say never trust anyone who looks like they don't masturbate.

If us Democrats band together we can whip old Timmy and his incompetent Mafia, but we got to start holding hands and singing Kum Ba Yah here in the next couple of months. I think we can do it.....when you feel like hating Obama.....look at the picture of Tim Griffin, same if you get to hating Hillary real bad......look at the pictures of McCain hugging Bush, Cheney lying for the 2 millionth time, look at Tim Griffin, imagine 4079 headstones and tell me how bad either of our Democratic candidates really are. Unit!
