Walton Arts Center moving?

The Iconoclast figures the Walton Arts Center isn't long for Fayetteville and will be relocated to Bentonville. It will go there for the same reason that Willie Sutton robbed banks. That's where the money is -- if not the people who make up most of the crowd at Arts Center events.

Comments

Never count out Mayor Womack and the new interchange off 540 in Rogers. Interesting news starting to percolate in that area.

Fayetteville son says it's true.

But new facility will be far too big for the acts like Leo Kottke, Dave Brubeck, The Blind Boys of Alabama, etc., that were the bread and butter of the arts center when it was in Fayetteville.
