From the police blotter

Thanks to The Iconoclast for this one from the NWA Times:

"Brandon George Smith, 22, of 1724 Live Oak, No. 7, in Fayetteville was arrested June 5 on a felony charge of fourth-degree sexual assault. Smith allegedly had sex with a 15-yearold girl. She later became pregnant. Smith told police that he was asleep when the incident occurred and didn’t know about it until the victim told him."

I don't want to read the rest of this piece. This is just too, too funny. Best laugh I've had in a long time!!

Sure he was...I ain't believing it...period. The male capacity for inventing stories that'll enable him to force sex on a woman without culpability is an amazing thing. I guess, however, that anytime the woman is not being blamed for enticing the poor innocent man into raping her, we're making progress.

I think I saw this story line on a TV show.

Sounds like sex with my first hubby.

DBI, there's your cue.

I've had some great snatch while I was asleep, but I always woke up alone and dry. When Mrs. Scrumdown, Mr. Happy Fun Paddle and I do it, it's always memorable, wet, sweaty nekkid fun. I don't see how Mr. Jazzy v. 1.0 or Mr. Smith could sleep through the secreting all those precious bodily fluids.

Did the guy say she said was 16? And he only had two beers?

Sorry. I know this is a serious offense, and Mr. Smith will not be popular with his fellow inmates. Well, not popular in the way cheerleaders are in high school. Maybe that's not a good example. I wonder if he'll be able to sleep through any of the sex acts he might participate in while in ADC housing?

Reminds me of a good Fayetteville attorney, a Republican of course, who claimed in a paternity suit that the very pregnant, much much younger woman and her mother had snuck into his house and stolen used condoms from his trash can which she proceeded to impregnate herself with. He lost the suit, but I give him great marks for creativity.

I will say this on Mr. Smith's behalf....I suddenly became desperate to marry my wife after she did this to me one morning a while after our blind date. But....I did manage to wake up and thank goodness, because it's one of my most cherished memories. Nothing like being pleasurably sexually assaulted by a beautiful 22 year old woman in a small cabin in the middle of a cow pasture in Little River County! Thanks for the 10 thousandth time, sweety.

DBI, Chasv gonna be mad-a-choo. He took a week, remember?

Just to add to DBI's story the lawyer in question, Erwin Davis, was the accused daddy-o in this case.
Cowboy Dan Ivy was the defendant's attorney and likely concocted the scenario wherein the 22 yr old woman impregnated her self after defendant Davis had tossed the used prophylactic. Davis was the poster boy for NWA Republicans for awhile. It was a howler all over the courthouse, restaurants and offices around the Square. Cowboy Dan was the lawyer who sued the now late Helen Walton for millions due to a small auto accident involving his client. The judge called it a nuisance suit.

It's not difficult to imagine this ol boy may be telling something closer to the truth than many a jealous laughing folks may think. In my younger days that type of story happened on more than a handful of occasions.. I must say I always woke up.

little girls ain't so timid anymore.. if they ever were.

As I have posted before: Mary was 14 when her son Jesus was born. So, you gonna arrest God for being a pervert?

little girls ain't so timid anymore..<<

Neither are prosecutors going after a big statutory rape conviction. Woe-be-gone to the prosecutor who fails to go after a perp. If she's under 17 & pg then you can bet your last buck someone was not asleep at the wheel.

"Woe-be-gone to the prosecutor who fails to go after a perp. If she's under 17 & pg..."

Unless she's part of a fundamentalist Mormon cult.
