Joe White has friends, too
JOE WHITE NEWS RELEASE
Conway, AR – During the month of May President Bill Clinton contributed financially to the State Senate campaign of Conway businessman Joe White. The former President gave the maximum contribution of $2,000 for both the primary and general elections. White and Clinton have been friends for nearly thirty years.
"I'm pleased the President is getting involved in this race," White said. "I feel so blessed to have the support of so many public servants from across the state of Arkansas." In addition to President Clinton's contribution, Governor Mike Beebe, Senator Mark Pryor, and Land Commissioner Mark Wilcox have all hosted events for White. Numerous local officials and members of the legislature have also contributed, including House Speaker Robbie Wills of Conway.
White has raised over $200,000 for his Senate campaign thus far. Over seventy percent of White's campaign contributions have come from inside Arkansas' 30th Senate district. "I want to thank all of my supporters for what is truly an amazing accomplishment," White continued. "I started this campaign down in the fundraising game $150,000 to nothing. Because so many citizens in Faulkner County want an independent voice and locally focused leader in the state senate, we're now in a position to win a landmark victory."
Joe White is a small business owner from Conway and a lifelong resident of Faulkner County. He is a board member at First Security Bank of Conway and is a former chairman of the board at the University of Central Arkansas. White is a graduate of Conway Public Schools and UCA. He is married to retired public schools teacher Sue White. They have two children and six grandchildren.

Although this is something to be proud of, I am uncertain that the people of that district will be particularly impressed.

Well I hope he doesn't lose any Democratic votes having the support of President Clinton. The things that man did to this country...peace...prosperity...balanced budget. Just awful....
