Saturday evening thread

Right here.

Worried this evening about those poor, poor Clinton for McCain folks.

What are they going to do now that Hilary Clinton strongly endorsed Obama?

Where are they, for that matter? They were all over these threads the day that Obama's win was announced?

Surely all those folks who were blogging about how outraged they are that Hilary didn't get the nomination and were switching to McCain were sincere, and not just playing some ugly Republican game, since, you know, the Republicans are the party of values and God and all.

Hilary's speech was classy, by the way. I wish her very well in whatever she does after this--smart lady who has broken many barriers on behalf of those who face glass ceilings.

Here's an interesting blog about the presidential election by a former Arkansas Gazetter -

"Looking Ahead to the General Election"

http://freedom-writing.blogspot.com/

I am in Heber for the family reunion and snake handling service. I couldn't get a room at Red Apple so I am in the Budget Inn in town as it is only 5 minutes from my cousin's house. Easily the worst dump I have ever stayed in in my life.

But then again I didn't expect much from a place that advertises on its website that it is only "20 minutes from Rosebud and Quitman."

Anyone heard anything else about Mr DuckTape aka Aaron Jones?

click on my name and read the sad story about a former attorrney general who is having trouble getting a job. i guess lying under oath and being stupid isn't too much to recommend you to future employers. maybe it takes more than loyalty to bush to stay employeed. if he gets broke enough maybe he will write a mcclellan book. that would be real good if he tells the truth it would be a bestseller but i doubt he is capable of that.

sorry

Huckabee saves NC candidate from choking - uses Heimlich maneuver

Link at my name.

If you go to Barack's website, you can send a thank you note to Hillary. There's also a video of him talking about how great she is. I sent her one, telling her much I have always admired her.

http://www.barackobama.com/index.php

Shall Arkansans rename the Heimlich maneuver now? How about, Hucka up Chucks?

It's a good thing the NRA isn't for shooting choking victims! (or are they? /s)

Damn mag......the life Huck saved was probably another Republican like his very own self.....guess it's true, only the good die young and of course that would let out the Republicans.

Boy....left MSNBC on after watching all the Hillary coverage and no wonder this the US is all screwed up. 2 hours of a religious sex cult that preyed on their own children, followed by 2 hours of life inside a prison with a bunch of tattooed skinheads. If I had had the sound on I'd be digging for a vein by now. I'm not a prude and I believe in the freedom of the airwaves, especially those cable airways....but if a Martian dropped down and watched what we watch on TV......they'd have to think we were the craziest life form in the universe.

Nothing but murder, death, solving murders from 29 years ago, cops, arrests, lawyers, jail, prisons, cops chasing cars thru busy cities, drug busts...and then there is all that eating worms and kicking people off the island stuff. Thank you Allah for making Jack Benny dead so he can't see this shit they're putting on my Sylvania these days.

Give me comedy or porn any time! How the church folks watch this justice crap and find it morally uplifting is beyond me. Ma used to watch all that CSI stuff, Numbers, Criminal Minds.....I think they averaged about 14 murders per hour and just killing someone doesn't hold an audience these days...it's got to be grizzly stuff...pools of blood running towards yer feet. I don't know how the old girl stood it!

I don't want the government running my TV, but hopefully when Barack is Prez....the mood of the nation will change and not having killers in the White House will mean TV lightens up a little. I think what we're seeing during prime time each week is a sure sign we're a sick country. Dear USA, Get well soon, OK? Love, DBI

On the way out of Conway on Hwy 65, there is a recycling place at the top of the hill. Today, I noticed that they had an election sign for Sen. Baker. Attached to the top of it is a sign that says "Gov. Huckabee". I have no idea what that's about. Are they afraid that people will forget that Huck and Gil are buddies?

I see Dale Gribble thinks the lives of Republicans are worthless. I also see he's stopped using the moniker Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. I suppose that using that only made sense while Hillary was in the race, just to remind people that ol' Barack has a Muslim-y middle name.

Who's Dale Gribble?

Oh kizzy, the Prouster is talking about me. Right now is not the time to speak of the worth of Republicans. Maybe I'll lighten up when Cheney-Bush are hauled off and locked up. Since most of my close friends are Republicans, I hope this happens sooner rather than later.

My wife smacked me one night and told me to quit saying Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., all the time. I was only doing it because by god this is America and no one should be ashamed of their name. I was a Hillary fan, but I never read anything into Barry's name. Unless you're a big Hollywood actor, no one gets to pick their name. I'm sure if Barack had got to pick he'd be Ludlow Graham Worthington II or something. George Bush's name is George Bush and that suckers worse than any Muslim. We've got some choice names for his old miserable mother around my house too.

I was for Hillary. I was never against Barack. The only time he bent me out of shape was when he said Republicans had all the good ideas. Was he high that day? Hitler was just full of ideas and he did an excellent job of implementing his ideas, but does the word good go in that sentence anywhere? I think snot!

I'm expecting BHO to go in the history books right next to FDR and JFK, so get used to the name, your grandchildren will be singing songs of praise to his name 40 years from now. I'll admit it doesn't flow as purty as America needs you, Harry Truman.....but the kids of the future will figure out how to rhyme it then. I may get my old plastic Emenee electric organ out of the attic and try my hand at writing a national anthem to Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. after while.

How about something like this.....to the tune of What'd I Say....

Hey this is Obama, don't you treat me wrong
Come and love your country all night long
All right now, hey hey, all right
See the girl with the diamond ring
Michelle knows how to shake that thing
All right now now now, hey hey, hey hey
Tell your mama, tell your pa
BHO sent Hillary back to Arkansas
Oh yes, ma'm, you don't do right, don't do right
Aw, play it BHO!

When you see the US in misery
Blame it on the neo-con partee
Now yeah, all right, all right, aw play it, BHO
Oh that damn Republican misery
Blame on the neo-con partee
Now yeah, hey hey, all right
See the girl with the red dress on
Michelle can do the Birdland all night long

Yeah yeah, what'd I say, all right
Well, tell me what'd I say, yeah
Tell me what'd I say right now
Tell me what'd I say
Tell me what'd I say right now
Tell me what'd I say
Tell me what'd I say yeah.

The F note above middle C is sticking....but damn.....ain't that purty! GO BHO GO! BHO KNOWS!

Now that Hillary Clinton has officially ended her presidential bid, do you think Barack Obama can win the White House against John McCain?

I believe the technical term for whatever a choking victim expels during the heimlich maneuver is already referred to as a "Huckabee".

Guardian.com article about West Virginia mouth breathers could have easily been about Arkansas:

"Johnny Telvor was not happy about Barack Obama becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. Not happy at all.

Standing outside the sturdy courthouse in the sweltering heat of a West Virginia afternoon in the small town of Williamson, Telvor smoked a cigarette and bluntly gave his opinion of Obama's historic mission to be America's first black president.

'We'll end up slaves. We'll be made slaves just like they was once slaves,' he said. Telvor, a white Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton in West Virginia's primary, said he planned to vote for Republican John McCain in November. 'At least he's an American,' he added with a disarmingly friendly smile."

There's also a video of him talking about how great she is. Posted by: Liberal Democrat enjoying 2008

All this sudden fake kissy kissy makeup after the last few months of backstabbing kinda makes you want to urp up a huckabee or 2 . . .

I think 4 or 5 of the jerks are the same person, yeah, chasv is make believe, but he's fun &
harmless.
I would love to meet *the gang* too.....I have known ALiJB and Ci.Ci for years, long before this
blog, and hooked up with Zelda thru Max,,,,,soooo, if you want contact Max for my address.
Zelda and I exchanged pix and she is a little doll,,,,so are the other two I know, in fact, I think
we have some all american Arkansas beauties on the AT blog.

I don't know about all this.

All's I know is Chelsea keeps getting hotter looking and it's beginning to piss me off because I'm NOT.

I mean, she stays perpetually engaged but never gets actually married. Which I should have done even though I'm not tabloid fodder.

Plus, Chelsea's incredibly well-educated and accomplished, unlike some other Presidential daughters I could name.

Uh, actually, ALL of them.

Put together.

Though Chelsea could slide down a two-story brass stripper-pole to address the U.N. and start international riots, she never will.

She's too smart, too bright and too self-controlled.

She will marry (soon) and start a family.

With the full support of her husband and children, Chelsea will embark on "Good Works" in addition to her career.

Then she will enter politics.

Successfully.

Then, one day, with much shorter hair and looking like a young Margaret Thatcher, Chelsea will be sworn in as the first woman POTUS.

Then I woke up.
