Unconstitutional green schemes
Lots of local governments have been talking about hiring companies to reduce their energy use, in some cases by floating revenue bonds that would be financed by "savings" from the energy strategies.
Oops, in a couple of opinions, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel opines that pledging these "savings" -- to the extent they are tax money -- is unconstitutional. Primary opinion is here. Secondary one here. See, savings do not equal revenue.

Good...less money wasted and given to the bond daddies.

Oh Goodness, Threet is just checking out Mayor Dan Coody's idea to get re elected ? or something like that. Now that Coody's non-elected assistant has canned the government channel for showing public forums and banned future forums in opposition to what the city council wanted ,Fayetteville folks get to watch re-runs of Mayor Dan doing ribbon cuttings on his $63 million cost-overrun West Side sewage plant. They also get to watch reruns of Mayor Dan seeking to ban plastic bottles in Fayetteville.
Former Ark Attorney General, Steve Clark, might just whip Coody's ass should Dan's recent poll urge him into the Mayor's race.
Savings are not revenue Dan. However $63 million costs overruns are not savings either.
