Immigration bust in NLR

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers rounded up 13 undocumented workers at the WaCo Manufacturing boat plant in North Little Rock yesterday. They are being held pending a court appearance. The workers were Mexican and Guatemalan, according to my initial source. ICE statement on the jump.

ICE STATEMENT

"Early yesterday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) special agents served thirteen federal arrest warrants on individuals employed at Waco Manufacturing in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Those arrested face criminal charges for allegedly using fraudulent documents to obtain employment. All were transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshal's. Their initial appearance is scheduled for July 25 in Little Rock. Questions regarding the charges need to be directed to the U.S. Attorney's Office."

Great! Any luck on the dognappers in Hillcrest or the bastard that broke out my back window. If it wasn't one of those illegals, who gives a sh--.

Max, out of curiosity, where do they detain said illegals? Are they taking up space at the county jail?

ARK. BLOG: The fiance of one of the bustees said he was in county lockup on Roosevelt. I believe there's still a federal contract in place to hold some federal detainees there.

Okay, let me get this straight.
Workers who are here illegally, but pay taxes are taking up jail space while other offenders are free to caper about Little Rock.

How many other non violent federal criminal are in the county jail?

With this raid fresh on our minds, I invite folks to take a gander at this essay on injustice:

(sorry for the long URL; short url wouldn't give me a short one.)

How terrifying to be snatched at any moment simply for working your guts out. I respect their work ethic and admit they are willing to do jobs I wouldn't (rather...that I have been lucky enough not to be in a position that required me to do so);

There has got to be a better way.

Meanwhile, we had 20 some cars broken into in one night...sure could use some police help.

And what about the illegal employer?

'Undocumented'---You mean illegal alien. We get the picture. Just another baby boomer who thinks that if they change the word it will change the reality.

I hear that a raffle is being started to see how many 'gringos' can be killed by illegal aliens. Of course, there are some rules. You have to have been arrested for a felony before you kill the gringos. You must have been in the country illegally for at least five years. The one with the longest criminal record and the most murdered gringos wins. Have a nice day.

All that this raid does is take 13 WORKING taxpayers out of the system.

That's also 13 fewer people contributing to social security.........though they would never see a dime of it anyway because of their status.

Wow.....just think what that would add up to if 12,000,000 people were deported.

Hey strangeglove.....I hope that you are wealthy in your cynical old age ...because if you have your way.......social security is toast.

I think it's about time someone checks out what school strangelove retired from and refund the former student's money. Obviously they didn't learn a damn thing of any use from this bozo. Did ya teach in an all white school strange? God I hope so!
