Creative accounting

Future wheeler-dealers in high finance should consider enrolling at Arkansas State, judging by the funny business they used to reduce President Les Wyatt's compensation package sufficiently to drop him from the most richly paid college leader in Ark.

Case in point: It turns out that Wyatt has use of a spread at Mallard Point near Mountain Home, donated to ASU in 1985 by the McAdams family. I'm guessing it's not a shanyt. He used it 13 nights in a year. About half business, half pleausre. Value by ASU accounting: About $34 a night. I challenge you to find a furnished deluxe cabin in Arkansas for $34 a night. Here's the backgronnd.

Small world. My old late friend and rich heiress owned a lake cabin next to McAdams motel-like spread on
Mallard Point, beautiful spot on the deep end of the lake. I used the cabin more than my late friend.
To McAdams credit and my friend's credit the huge trees were never cut down to build on the lake shores. I'm so glad the property didn't go to a developer.
.

Because of the downturn in the Bush economy and expected high energy costs for the winter months I have decided to open my home to select Arkansas females for the low low price of 34 dollars per night. Yes, we'll have to share a bath....and I do mean bath. I've only got one bed, but we can spoon and you can expect a slight prick in the night.

I hope Mallard Point never gets on Kohl's radar or there goes the trees. And I hope AT keeps sniffing under the collegian covers until all the weasels are smoked out. Now, back to the Miss Wasilla 1984 website!

I'm sure it's just me, but every time I read, "Miss Wasilla" of 1984 it sounds like a spokeswoman for lubricant.

Back to Pres. Wyatt's compensation. There were some L.R. Capital hill boys in NWA a week or so ago.
The subject of Lu Hardin pay mess came up. They said it's really a good thing because all of the presidents' pay, including all the extras, would be examined by the lege, perhaps a special committee would be appointed.
