Hillary releases delegates
There will be no big drama in the roll call. Again, no surprise. But the media will still plumb the soap opera it wants to create -- with mind reading, body language experts, anonymous quotes and all the rest. It's astonishing, really.

Its all bullshit, and we should not watch their drivel and let them explain the low rating to the advertisers. I refuse to listen to the talking heads babble on and on this week.

Do people really still watch the cable news networks? What a pathetic life one would have to have to watch it. You can get more news from the web in a few minutes than you can watching that crap all day long.

C-Span is by far the best place to watch the convention - no one explains anything or analyzes anything. It's just like being there.
I turned on MSNBC for a few minutes this AM and heard some reporter say that an Obama supporter who was praising Hillary's speech was told "don't say that too loudly, the Obama campaign and donors are still angry with Hillary".
I say, to hell with all of them. When you challenge the perfect candidate, I guess nothing you say when it's over is enough. As far as I'm concerned, she should now step back and let Obama go out and win his own election. She couldn't please them if she handed them the keys to the WH and it isn't her responsibility to drag the party to unity. That is the nominee's job. It would take him 5 min to shut this crap up and if he doesn't want unity bad enough to do what it takes..........oh well!

She had to, because she did not want to risk sacrifice at the the Obaman Temple.
Get your first look at the shrine to Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

"No, no." She added, to cheers, "I am not telling you what to do."<<HRC
There you are. Bona fide evidence of a conspiracy to derail the apparent nominee.

Turn off the "Talking Head Channels" folks and watch either PBS or C-SPAN. You will enjoy the convention so much AND get to hear ALL of the speakers like Lilly Ledbetter and Governor Brian Schweitzer from Montana.

ABC Photographer arrested for taking pictures of Demo VIPs leaving party. 140 Companies provided the lion's share of the 50 million dollars for the cost of the convention.
SAY IT AIN'T SO. I'm shocked. DBI told me that the demos are the people's party. Durangokid said that the demos represent the common folks. repubsforobamayomama said that the demos will lead us out of the wasteland controlled by those money grubbing lackeys of big business. What's a guy to do!!!!!!!

Here's a "God forbid" question: Should Obama be assassinated before being nominated or before the November election, who would take his place on the ticket? Biden? Hillary? Is there a party protocol for this contingency? I'm a bidness major, not a political scientist, thus the inquiry.

Ci Ci, Hillary Clinton is a loyal Democrat and a patriotic American. She's knows how much four more years of a repulsican presidency will damage the country. She will swallow her pride, for the good of the country, and work for the Democratic ticket. Your dislike of Obama is getting in the way of what you must know, namely what a disaster electing McCain would be.

Durango, I axed that question awhile back...someone said the DNC would appoint
someone.

LAJ, for the very last time. NOTHING is getting in the way of my knowing what a disaster McCain would be. It seems to me it is the Obamanuts who don't understand the disaster it would be because they insist on getting in their diggs and their insults. They seem determined to lose and Hillary cannot do more for them.
As I said, Obama needs to stop whining for Hillary to do more and get his butt out there and win his election. It's his to win or lose.

Amen CiCi.
The team's been picked. Now let's get this show on the road.
Time for the REpugs to lose and America to win.
Then we can listen to them whine for the next 16 years, hopefully longer.

You advised Hillary to "....step back and let Obama go out and win his own election." That's a great way to beat McCain.

Hillary is going to swallow her pride because she has no choice. Her next step will be to ensure that obamayomama doesn't get elected. Miss Narcissist leaves nothing to chance. She has already orchestrated enough disunity to start the ball rolling for his failure. Then she will be positioned for 2012.

All politicians are narcissists. To single out Hillary is unfair to her, unless we are going to hold women to a much higher standard than men. Hillary knows that now that Obama has the nomination, we will start to hear more about Obama's Chicago connections with very radical individuals - radicals that will make normal people very uncomfortable voting for him. The light will soon shine on the Obama. Obama can only hide behind vague platitudes for so long.
Hillary and Bill made impressive showings at the Democratic National Convention. Hillary certainly looked presidential.

though not the first time this year i have been impressed by the intelligence of the Obama campaign,
whoever choreographed yesterday's "roll-callus interruptus" is astonishingly brilliant. (and i assume the many details were worked out 'tween Obama people and Clinton people in the past few weeks)
having Hillary release her delegates and vote Obama early in the day, then begin the roll-call a few hours later, and engineer the interruption/handoff to NY's delegation, spoken for by Hillary herself, to end the process and move to acclamation, did several things very deftly, all at once.
it kept the total number of delegates for Hillary and Obama from being registered, while also allowing many delegates the escape of not having to publicly state their choice. the totals, no matter how they would have ended up, would then have been used by media partisans in at least two ways:
one, to assert that Hillary had been "humiliated"
two, to assert that a large (now definable) percentage of DEM delegates did not fully support Obama and thus continue to feed the narrative of 'division/distrust/doubts' etc within the DEM party.
none of which is being written about today because of the brilliant maneuver. incredible. kudos.
