Ma-in-law not sure on SP

The New York Daily News is quoting Sarah Palin's mother-in-law as less than certain about this veep stuff:

Faye Palin said the entire family was shocked by the news on Friday. "I'm not sure what she brings to the ticket other than she's a woman and a conservative. Well, she's a better speaker than McCain," Faye Palin said with a laugh. "People will say she hasn't been on the national scene long enough. But I believe she's a quick study."

The Alaska newspapers, by the way, are NOT impressed.

I think SP has the charm and attitude of Clarice in 'Lambs.'

Joking aside she has that Mars conj Saturn tenacity of a bulldog combined with a mountain goat.
Don't count her out. 'Sticks and stones may break her bones but words will never harm her.'

.

One of the few times that I may agree with elmwood. I think the knee jerk reaction is to underestimate or count her out. That would be a mistake. She reminds me of the two swordsmen who are dueling and one laughs and says that he can never be touched. The other smiles and instantaneously slashes. The opponent remarks, 'see, I told you that I couldn't be touched'. He turns to walk away and his head falls off. I will not vote for either ticket but my guess is that her contribution will be significant.

Sarah Palin fits right into the GOP check-list. Not only is she a rabid theocrat who is anti-women's rights, anti-same-sex-equality, she's also a liar. This from AmericaBlog:

"Well, at least she has one major qualification to be a Republican president. She's a liar. This, from her home state paper, the Anchorage Daily News:

When John McCain introduced Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate Friday, her reputation as a tough-minded budget-cutter was front and center.

"I told Congress, thanks but no thanks on that bridge to nowhere," Palin told the cheering McCain crowd, referring to Ketchikan's Gravina Island bridge.

But Palin was for the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it.

The Alaska governor campaigned in 2006 on a build-the-bridge platform, telling Ketchikan residents she felt their pain when politicians called them "nowhere." They're still feeling pain today in Ketchikan, over Palin's subsequent decision to use the bridge funds for other projects -- and over the timing of her announcement, which they say came in a pre-dawn press release that seemed aimed at national news deadlines.

She stood up with John McCain and flat out lied to the national press and the American people. Every single reporter should [be] dogging her and asking why she lied to the American people on the first day of her campaign."

and watch that girl flip-flop:

Great story from the Anchorage Daily News...at my name

I think the Palin family has no idea of the shit storm that is hitting them. Already there's talk that her new baby is really her grandchild. I wasn't there...I don't know, but this is just a warm up to what the Palins are in store for. If any old boyfriend has a nude Polaroid we're gonna see it.

As a man, or at least what's left of one, I am kinda hoping they'll find out Miss Wasilla whopped out her va-jj where she shouldn't. I'm sick of all adulterers and lone gunmen being male. I know from experience there are lots of cheatin women out there....why don't they ever get caught?

Anyway, Sarah Palin is in a world of hurt and so is her family and so is America if she and the old lecher get elected.

I had no idea Norma...really I didn't...next time I won't answer my phone while writing/copying a post.

has anyone noted yet that if Huckabee still has higher aspirations

he now has a vested interest in an Obama victory?

And, for a peek into Sarah Palin's sense of "humor," there's this article from today's HuffPo, showing her laughing on air at references to a political opponent's cancer and obesity.

Oh, that Sarah! What a card!

and Sarah supports the Death Penalty in a state that does not have one:

The Guardian has the scoop..on my name.

Elwood, better to get the information out there TWICE, than not at all.

I don't have Sarah Palin's horoscope, but she apparently has Sun/Mars/Saturn conjunct in Aquarius -- which, alone, is indicative of a highly ambitious and driven personality likely to rise to a position of power and influence . . . only to self-destruct and lose it all, somehow.

And Ms. Palin's Aquarius conjunction is apparently squared by Neptune (secrets, scandals, deception) in Scorpio . . . which is a virtual guarantee, at some point, of a major career fall due to shaky foundations and revelations of duplicity, scandal, falsehoods, cheating, etc. In Scorpio, those are likely to involve sex, use or misuse of public or private funds, shady financial ties and improprieties, and abuses of power.

It's already been reported that this "values candidate's" first child was conceived a month before she was married, indicating her marriage was prompted by her pregnancy. Not that anybody has anything against pre-marital sex . . . except, of course, the very "values voters" to whom Palin appeals.

That hardly constitutes a "scandal," though it certainly fits her Neptune square.

More to the point: Palin's current investigation in Alaska for misuse of power in firing the state official who refused to fire Palin's ex-brother-in-law at Palin's petty vindictive request. THAT'S pretty typical of this configuration, which at heart is not only deeply ambitious but also deeply insecure, jealous, vindictive, vengeful and fearful of being "found out." Therein lie the seeds of "self-destruction" notoriously associated with this configuration.

Since, as far as I'm aware, Palin's career has yet to be derailed by a major scandal or misstep in her past, that means her career fall lies ahead.

Can't wait to see what it is, and how the "revelations" shake out! Hopefully NOT after she's VP.

>>>One of the few times that I may agree with elmwood.

Good to see strange step out of his role as fire hydrant but he still creates a TRE.

Palin's contribution may not be what she thinks it will be. Pigs Ear to Silk Purse always works in
the movies but in politics the pig can come back around and bite. Think Agnew.
Now her scandal over having her ex bro in law fired will be watched nationally.
The pig will bite harder.

There's some astrologers over at AstroDataBank , on the Obama forum making comments. A few internationally known ones have some good insights. My post is about 7-8 down the page. Same name
as here.
click name should take you there. No registration needed.

The hurricane called the Republican Party which has been hitting this country for 8 years gets a little more help from the AP. Remember former Little Rock AP guy Ron Fournier is now the bureau chief for Washington and that someone uncovered some very friendly email between Fournier and Karl Rove.

Click on my name to see Keith Olbermann take apart some neo-con AP plant on MSNBC right after Obama's acceptance speech. There is a neo-con cancer on the only mass news source in America and this TASS-like news is what's killing America-AT&T. I think I'll steal from the Palin play book and call the AP a cancer and a bitch!

Oh, wait: I just realized the characteristics in Palin's putative horoscope perfectly describe every Republican politician of the last 30 years.

She's a mystifying woman. Jock. Then a sportscaster on Alaska's NBC station.
I's seeing shades of Huck here. Except Gov Palin never had her tummy stapled.

Huff Po has the story. clickname

Well, the usual comments and dire predictions but she has really dominated the news. Does anyone remember who the democratic nominee is? The women don't like her because she doesn't spell her name H I L L A R Y. Nothing new. If you guys are wrong then she could be a formidable part of the ticket. She has certainly invigorated the ticket. I haven't heard much from joe boca grande biden. What gives?

Gustav gives Nagin a second change to get it right

By BECKY BOHRER
Associated Press Writer

Right strangelove, Republican women are too stupid to chant S A R A H?.....that's about right.

If you'll click on my name once again here is another example of Ron Fournier's Fox News-Associated Press slanting the news again. Oh joy! A national disaster with the potential to kill thousands of people gives Ray Nagin another chance to up his political standings.

Dear God, this is DBI. Things have been pretty boring around here lately and my wife won't even look at me naked. So, could you please cause a school bus to wreck in front of my house on Tuesday? Please let it be loaded with small children and make the bus burst into flames so I can make a name for myself by saving half the kids with my bare hands. Too bad the other 23 will have to burn to death, but they probably won't be white anyway since the bus would be in my neighborhood. Tks DBI

There....that might make a Nagin out of me by next week! I think maybe it's time to bury the hatchet with Rev. Moon. United Press International is suddenly looking a whole lot more trustworthy now that AP has gone neo-con. Hell......I'll buy a flower at the airport if it will get me fair news. Ain't no Moonie called Nagin the N word. What's the AP say about all Nazi raids on "hippie houses" in St. Paul? Oh I know....sudden Code Violations.....uh huh......

I'm sure that republican women will appreciate your demeaning putdown.

I wonder why this unqualified person said yes, that she would accept the VP slot.
Something is wrong here. McCain had a 30 minute visit with her and suddenly she is his "best" choice????
Why did she say yes?

She said yes, kissy, for the same reason sisters and brothers who are FK'ing go on Jerry Springer to tell the world about their twisted sex lives. Fame & Fortune, the only reason most people get out of bed, ya know. Bad fame is better than no fame......? Thanks.....I'll pass.
