Obama doesn't love America
The unpatriotic label that Republicans are working to pin on Barack Obama is, naturally, parroted ceaselessly on its house organ, Fox News. A media watchdog site notes that Mike Huckabee is gleefully dishing the propaganda. He and Sean Hannity were discussing an interchange between Obama and a voter about why Obama is running for president.
Huckabee called the interchange a “very, very serious tactical error” on Obama’s part. Huckabee and Hannity agreed that it showed that Obama can’t speak without a script. ...
Huckabee went on to say that Obama gave the impression that “America is not that great a country right now...Obama needs to tell us what’s great about America.”
...
“He’s got to clarify that what he loves about America is the fact that he has broken a lot of barriers to be the nominee,” Huckabee chimed in. “I think America’s been pretty darned good to Barack Obama and he ought to acknowledge that.”

Comments
'Obama can't read without a script'...hahahaha...McSame can't remember which country he's in or who's fighting whom.
I'll give Sean/Huck et al this...they sure have nerve...or perhaps it's just the psychosis that comes from closing your mind off to reason, drinking too much Kool-Aid and being an all-around idiot (if you think the world is just a few thousand years old...you're an idiot). Plus, they don't let failure after failure detour them one bit...or change their set-in-concrete minds. Turned the country over to them in 2000 and they run it into the ground...biggest deficit ever...largest government ever...nation-building to the max...screw states' rights...screw the 'piece of paper' that we call a Constitution...gave us a retroactive legal system (for corporations only, though)...screw New Orleans...screw women...on and on. Thank god FAUX keeps paying these goobers money to spread their wisdom.

Isn't it obvious? The Symbol (Peace Be Upon Him) loves The Big O (Peace Be Upon It) more than He (PBUH) he loves the country (Peace Be Upon Her).

These ass clowns are just trying to reel Obama closer to them. I hope he doesn't take the bait. His best move would be to denounce Fox, tell the people why, and refuse them access to any event. If they cry- say you are entertainment and propaganda- we only allow news.

I hope we soon reach a point in our evolution when no one will use the very ugly, small-minded insults of "I love America more than you", "you're a racist", "he's a commie-lib", etc, to describe someone who's ideas differ but clearly cares as much about this country and all its citizens as anyone else. It makes us sound like kids on a school yard hurling insults of "fag", "my dad's bigger than your dad". But when our leisure is often spent in showing off the biggest car, boat, muscles, and boobs, I may be expecting too much.
If McCain is an adult, I don't know how he allows such tripe from his campaign.

McCain started out saying "I'm going to run a fair and civil campaign", but then he saw that he wasn't getting anywhere with it so he let the Rove bunch of the Republican party take over. He wants to be president so bad that he will do anything and say anything to get there.

Once again Huckabee has national prominance and is working for a national news organization, you former Arkansas GAzetter's can't stand it. You work for a weekly, that doesn't even have a regional readership. Bitter, sour, all words that describe you.

"very ugly, small-minded insults "
remember that as the chorus against Ralph Nader starts to grow.
"national news organization"
I'm sorry, but I would respect him more if he were a columnist for the National Enquirer.

Do you think that pointing out to Nader and his supporters that every vote for him equals a vote for McCain is an insult? I've always admired Nader a lot but I was angry in 2000 and I'm angry with him now that he can't see there is a huge difference between McCain and Obama and he should not be trying to impede Obama.

I would love to vote for Barack Obama. All he has to do is say the magic words.

He's not trying to impede Obama. He's trying to help him. When I ran for governor I wasn't trying to impede Mike Beebe or Asa Hutchinson or Jim Lendall, I was trying to help them all make Arkansas a better place. How would you feel if you had something to add to this blog and you weren't allowed to register? Would you feel like bursting open? Imagine if you dedicated your life to a cause and just when you got the chance to be heard you were relegated to the byways. When I go vote for president I want 50 choices.

Obama certainly got tongue tied in answering the simple question from the little girl, and his answer was pathetic. Take away the puppet masters script, and Obama doesn't have a clue. I would dare say that Hillary Clinton would have given a much more inspirational answer to the question, but she hasn't attended a church that spews out hate for the United States for the past 20 or so years. Given all of the benefits that Obama has been given - an education at an ivy league school in which higher qualified white candidates were pushed aside to make room for him, a special job was created for him at the University of Chicago to teach diversity, and the same for Michelle at Princeton. The Chicago machine got behind him and got him into power, and a slumlord made it possible for him to get a house that he otherwise couldn't afford.
There is still time for the Democratic party to dump Obama and get behind the better candidate. I hope that Bill is making phone calls to delegates, and that Hillary decides to take her fight to the convention. The US cannot afford another Jimmy Carter presidency.

Thanks for hipping me to this video Severus. I thought his answer was great. He thought for a minute, something Republicans haven't done since the 50's.

I think if any investigative reporter would spend the time researching Mike Huckabee's activities since the first day we heard the name, they'd find that smiley Christ-hugger Mikee has been deeply involved in the Republican Dirty Tricks Machine for years and years.
The AT was digging in the right spot a year or 2 ago when they uncovered Huckabee taking money from the cigarette lobby who were trying to dig up dirt on Hillary when she was working on health care, years before. Mike Huckabee is the Lonesome Rhodes of Southern American politics. Best ole guy you ever did meet during the day, a dirty cockroach climbing thru the political shit during the night.
I'll never understand why Mike Beebe didn't order a full investigation of at least Huckabee's last term in office. Professional courtesy I guess. I think it's great that Billary worships Huckabucks......makes me giggle every time! Keep licking the shit off Huck's hair legs Billary......it's great entertainment!

Knowing Obama, he will likely parrot what Mike Huckabee said the next time he's asked the question.

Since not everyone who opposes Obama is a racist, but all racists oppose Obama, it's worth wondering what percentage of his opposition comes strictly because he's black. 10%? 20%? Higher?

obama yo mama does well when he is scripted but terrible when he is speaking on the fly. McCain will pulverize him in a town hall type meeting. Give obama a script and he will run circles around mccain but you can't always orchestrate such a situation.

I wonder how many people oppose McCain because he is a Republican white male?

White men run the world, so to imply being one is any kind of handicap or creates any serious opposition is ludicrous.
Republican? PLENTY of people oppose McCain simply because he's a Republican. I'm one of them. If you sail under the pirate flag, don't cry when you're hung with the rest of the pirates. If you lie down in the Republican bed, you're going to get up with fleas. Republicanism is a character defect, if you will; an unwillingness to face reality, a cruelty toward those less fortunate, a philosophy that says the person with the most money has the most right to rule.
