Streetview
Ah, technology. By now, you've probably seen (and maybe been a little creeped out by) the Google Streetview maps of central Arkansas, which allow the viewer to take a digital walk down virtually every street in the area.
The Streetview maps are made with a special camera car that has a rotating imager on the roof (judging from certain landmarks, we've ascertained the cars most likely came through Little Rock/North Little Rock sometime last summer). Every once in awhile, they manage to catch something a little weird... as in this shot from Eagle Point Drive in Sherwood.
Remember, friends: your day could always be worse.

If you click on the next picture it says it's no longer available. I wonder if they requested their address be taken off and google just removed the one picture?

Yeah....bad day for sure. I keep waiting for the first lawsuit to pop up filed by someone whose ass got nailed because his or her car was parked at the wrong house at the wrong time. What a bitch to have your wife find out about your girlfriend just because of the Google.
Senator Pryor might think about this as he batches it up in DC. Too bad we didn't have the street view Google maps a few years ago so we could see Miss Randi slipping into Tim & Asa's Watergate apartment at night. And of course I'm glad the Google map thing came along when I was in my 50s and not my 20s. Whew! The words, it's a small small world are fixing to have greater meaning in the future. I don't remember voting on any of this...do you?

When, just when will google maps develop a sense of aesthetics and drive by our municipal swimming pool?
There' some real beauties over there, just barely legally clothed and I would love to have a few shots of that pool scene.
The CIA has insect cameras so get ready for full time google buzz-by maps. Next swarm of bees or the interesting grasshopper you see may be recording you.

My street had campaign signs in the yard so that gives a little guess on timing of when the camera cars came by.
My father was captured watering flowers at my sister's house in Capitol View but dad isn't all that observant and even though in the pictures dad was staring right at the camera he does not remember the camera car.
We asked about his clothes he was wearing and my mom says he wears the same old crap all the time so that would not be a clue. All we know is that wasn't Sunday because dad wears a suit on Sunday mornings.
My street had my car parked outside and the mail truck down the street so it must have been lunch time during the week.

There has been a lawsuit filed already and they lost. A couple filed claiming that the fact you could see their house online decreased the value of the house.

If you follow the link to "the smoking gun" and read the referenced document, page 5 gives you the directions to remove the photo, your face in the photo or your license plate.
Sorry DBI, you can only delete you license plate 5 times. Having more mistresses than that is being greedy anyway.

Huh...how do you get a gig drivin' a Google car?!
Looks like my house was pic'd in the a.m. sometime...Wednesday maybe as that's when they pick up yard waste...

John Doe, if you click once more, you'll see the fire trucks in action. Then you can click E Butterfly, and tweak around, you can see more images. I wonder/guess this type photo could help you out in an insurance claim.

I want one of those jobs too, rosso. Imagine driving around all day and someone else pay for the gas. Imagine catching DBI and offering to sell . . . Uh oh. Seems my true nature is breakin' through again -- thought I'd learned to do that sort of thing only on the QT.

I thought this was going to be of a certain Arkansas Times editor who was out walking with his wife and what appears to be an extremely mean looking French bulldog just as the Google camera went by.
ARK. BLOG: Once was enough for that link. The Google car moves slowly, but it photographs exceedingly fine. entirely too much exposure on Kavanaugh for this editor, but you have to admit Fifi is a beauty.

Okay, I've tried this twice. Let's see if I can enter it again. One more time -- check out 32 Meadowbrook in Little Rock.
