Clinton for Obama
Bill Clinton, in the course of saying some nice things yesterday about Sarah Palin, mentioned that he'd be campaigning for Obama in Arkansas.
Clinton also said he will campaign for Obama in Arkansas. "My crowd down there thinks he could win," the former president said. "If you win Arkansas, you could turn the lights out."

Just guessing that Hillary is not too happy with the adjective "hot"...

Bill wowed the crowd on David Letterman last night. Said he will be in Penn with Biden campaigning soon.
At the linked article I noted the pic of McBush and campaign manager Rick Davis.
It was so interesting to learn that Rick was the lobbyist for Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.

Bill sucks. He's really no help. They ran clips on CNN last night of his appearance on The View yesterday and he was so lukewarm about Obama. No real passion for him, just like he was talking about going grocery shopping. He's a big egomaniac crybaby who had his chance and blew it and pouts and sulks. Grow up Bill and get over yourself even a little bit.

Anybody tracking Bob Barr's campaign?

I'm afraid that I would have to agree with IABL1969 on Bill's "lukewarm" attitude toward Obama. He may have been great explaining the economic meltdown on Letterman, but he appeared almost non-partisan about the election. He mentioned Hillary more than any candidate. Even Chris Rock noticed that Bill was hard pressed to say Obama's name.
This seems particularly sad to me because Bill knows he can fire up a crowd, and he's just not doing it. In fact, Hillary appears to be working harder at getting her supporters to move to Obama than her husband. Just sign me "frustrated".

Well I would like to hear a few of his AR people stand up and declare AR could possibly be in play.. with any supporting evidence.
Arkansans tossed him out of of the Governorship over what, a thousand or so Vietnamese boat people?
Bill, like so many of us natives who move away has a fantasy about home which is no longer relevant. He does need to come home and help, but painting that kind of false optimism is ridiculous and harmful to those who are urgently aware and working hard to garner support in a sea of bigotry and self loathing or apathetic neighbors.

>>Arkansans tossed him out of of the Governorship over what, a thousand or so Vietnamese boat people?<<
You must have been traveling my friend. It was over about 10,000 Cubans who Fidel duped Jimmy Carter into accepting those that wanted to come to the U.S. Fidel opened his asylums and prisons and loaded them onto boats. Upon arriving
Clinton agreed to allow them refuge at Ft Chaffee (next to Ft. Baptist). Soon the ones who had been on psychotropic drugs rioted, and a few escaped and murdered a few Arkies.
NWA was the center of the News Cycle for a month or two with flames roaring out of burning
buildings, people being shot on the highway, cameras everywhere. 1978 was a year of infamy.
It was a Bonfire of Messes. Gun sales soared in NWA. One dealer I personally knew had me running to Okla City to keep his shelves full. But, hey the money was good. Gun dealers made out like bandits during the Cuban Siege of Ft. Chaffee.
Several of my Spanish speaking friends found jobs there processing the immigrants and training them all for federal wages, much higher than Ark wages. New cars were bought.
New wardrobes paid for.
New governor elected. For one term.
Bubba apologized. Pleaded for his old seat back. His apology was accepted. I think Dick Morris helped craft it.
Peace a love returned.
we lived happily ever after.

Chris Rock followed the Prez on Letterman last night, and astutely asked "Did he ever say the word 'Obama' ?". Went on to talk about bill's frequent mentions of Hillary on the segment, and said yes she got a lot of votes but SHE LOST. The Patriots got a lot of points but THEY LOST.

elWood, where do you get your news? No Ft Chaffee cubans killed any arkies . The only violence of record was that visited upon the refugees (they werent prisoners and therefore could not escape or be detained...it was a big muddle for sure) by the national guard, and mental violence by civilian employees who recruited cubans into the Tony Alamo group (he's always in the news, huh?)

Thanks Sanford for the account provided by two politicians. I did have my year wrong but hey, when your hair gets grey so does the stuff upstairs. But I recall there were many who had been taking serious meds who became belligerent. No one knew what drugs they were taking.
My ex wife of Hispanic origin was a translator at the Fort for Md's. There were some attacks by Cubans, serious ones on motorists. One attack was on a friend's son. He was stabbed by a Cuban he attempted to help. There were others. I apologize for the "killing" part. Attacks is what I should have said.
There were also many gays as Fidel did not like homos. Detested them. They all had to be processed and classified. Some received skills training. One old friend did that.

eLwood, please pardon my inaccuracies... I was quite young at the time (not voting age)..and didn't have a problem with off colored immigrants .. which is why Bill got the boot.. that amount of racism and irrational fear remains today..and it's why, without a heck of a fight from every AR Dem in leadership I don't think AR will carry Obama.
As I said... I would love to see some evidence to the contrary. Bill was just lying, imo.

BETTER CK OUT THE "TEAM OBAMA" FOR RESIDUALS FROM FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC, AMONGST OTHER LOBBYING STUFF. HE IS NOT ALL THAT CLEAN FOR SURE. GOT HIS NEW HOME FROM A SALE VERY CHEAP I MIGHT ADD FROM HIS "FRIENDS" AT FREDDIE MAC FOR A REAL GOOD DEAL.
AND SORRY TO BUST YOUR BUBBLE KID, BUT THERE WERE ARKIES KILLED DURING THAT CARTER/ CLINTON, CUBAN FIASCO. MY RELATIVES LIVED ON THE BORDER OF FT CHAFFEE AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE, AND PEOPLE WERE KILLED... TRY AGAIN. THEY WERE THERE , THEY SAW IT.
DONT KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GETTING YOUR INFO, BUT ITS SURE POLLUTED. LIKE ALL THE DRIVEL ON THIS BLOG. SO ONE SIDED ITS PITIFUL. DONT KNOW WHAT JAZZY, KIZZY DBI AND FRENCHIE ARE MEDICATIN THEMSELVES WITH, BUT THEY NEED AN UPDATE TO A STRONGER DOSE.

It was car tags that got Clinton booted out of the Governor's office. Everyone and their dog spit up when this young hippie raised the price of car tags. No one blamed Cubans on Bill Clinton. We saw he was told, not asked to take the Cuban refugees. But after going thru inspections and then having to pay double to tag your old clunker.....that was just too much for the average Arkie. I proudly voted for Frank White! Mostly cause I had a crush on his hot wife.
I'm not worried about Bill.....he'll do his part when the time comes. If there was a lick of sense in America Obama wouldn't have to campaign. Who on earth is dumb enough to vote for a Republican after the cluster-FK of the last 8 years. Ruination of all things, disaster and failure, one Nazi tactic after another...lies......kidnapping and torture. There is not one good thing that can be said about the Cheney-Bush administration. And shove your Haven't Been Attacked since 9-11 up your ass. Since the War of 1812, America hasn't been attacked on our soil until 9-11. The norm is no attack. The real question is why reelect the people who let the first attack in 189 years happen?
As bad as its been....I think we've only seen the tip of the evil neo-con iceberg. I think they have big plans for us before Christmas comes. It may actually be time to lay away food and ammunition....and lordy I never expected to type that sentence in my life. Big big evil is afoot. Pay very close attention and watch who you trust. I fear this is the American version of December 6th, 1941 only this time the Zeros coming to bomb us have an R behind their name.

Since there has not been a poll done in Arkansas since July, who knows what the numbers are? Eight out of ten people I know are voting Obama, but that tells me nothing, since I don't surround myself with fools or racists.

okay...there were no new stories about killings OR attacks...just local hysteria, which was perfectly understandable. If there WERE murders, then they were obviously covered up by Clinton's henchmen who ran the Mena airport drug smuggling operation. It can also now be revealed that the two boys run over by the train in Benton were put there by the Fort Chaffee cubans. elWood and Ass can sleep well tonight, knowing they have finally convinced everyone to think like a true conspiracist.

Obviously none of you know bubba clinton. If you did you would know that the ONLY one he cares about is bubba clinton. Only if it serves his interest does he do something. You all act like you are so knowledgeable of him but you show not even the most basic understanding of his ego. EGO, that is the key to his personality. The only one he loves is himself. He personifies the baby boomer generation.

well, you have Love in your name and it must pertain to yourself. and there is not a living organism on the planet that does not act in total self-interest all the time. even sacrifice feeds the ego and sense of worth and value system, so our actions there are in self interest as well. Take a spell from the keyboard and think back to anything you have done this week that was not in your self interest. Know thyself, Know Bubba.
