'Gotcha'
Couric gets a sit-down with both McCain and Palin. Now we learn that, when a voter asks a question and a candidate (Palin) gives an inartful answer, this is "gotcha journalism." So, "No questions please. I'm a candidate for vice president."
McCain, once known as an honorable man, today decried the Democrats' lack of bipartisan coopeartion in the financial crisis and immediately launched new ads attacking Democrats' work in the financial crisis.

How Funny? Why is this woman being protected so by the campaign? Is she that dense she can't answer a question? And this " you are picking on her because she is a woman thing" is repulsive. No she's just not ready and clueless. Just another "pretty" face. It is so sad that Republicans will explainalie all their candidates faults under the pretense of having " just an ordinary guy" be the president. Who wants an ordinary leader of a nation? How dumb. Again, I say- it is a sad day in American, when one's melanin production level can prevent them from being president. FYI The Democrat's voted for the bill 60% to the Pub's 40%! A speech from Pelosi shouldn't have kept them from their responibility to their constituents! Stop the excuses, whining, lying and mud throwing and show us how you can help the country.

Dare I bring up the names Adolph & Eva? Perhaps a little strong, but even LargeAss could watch this video and catch McCain in a LargeAss Lie. How sneaky of Barack Obama to plant voters at every stop to ask pesky questions of McCain & Palin! Us little people shouldn't look upon them, much less dare to speak!
When will we figure out that voters are the root of all evil! Why, Lee Harvey Oswald was a voter! Charles Manson was a voter! Tim McVeigh was a voter! I bet even Osama votes! You know a kid grows up and starts voting, next thing you know he's smoking dope and cheating on his wife and not going to church.
It's that damn voting that's ruining America. No wonder Republicans try to save America by kicking people off the voting rolls. I know I know...they started with the black people but soon they'll be kicking white folks off the voting rolls too and America will be great again!
I say we should make Joe Biden stay at home Thursday night! Give all the time to Sarah Palin, just to sit and rock and tell us the story of her wonderful life. She can bring out her wonderful family and any new babies born to them in the last 2 weeks. She can tell a few jokes.....maybe even sing. She can gather her church family around her and bless our country by rolling in the isles and talking in tongues. I hope she brings her God snakes and her witch chasing preacher. And maybe Todd will show us some snow machine tricks.
We don't need to hear no more politics...damn my ears hurt enough already. Let's just sit back and relax and watch the Palin Family Christmas Show a few months early. Democracy is soooo 90s!

At times I am just so amazed, flabbergasted, appalled, and upset by this woman as a nominee for Vice President. You think GW was silly, unintelligent, and a bad leader.
Add someone who can't speak unless memorized, never left the country, biggest claim to fame is Ms. Alaska and now is scared of answering a simple voter's question. Wait until the hard questions hit or worse yet, the hard issues to decide. Can she even be a decider?
At least GW and even Dan Quayle were better than this joke. Wow.

>>John McCain professed his disappointment with the "lack of bipartisan good will" in dealing with the financial crisis, and called for everyone to "come together in a bipartisan way"<<
Of course and that's why he "suspended" his campaign to rush back to D.C., round up the Rwingnuts in Congress and have them defeat the measure so he could blame Demos.
I figured it would have taken two more days before they figured out how to blame 8 years of free-wheeling neo-con politics on the Demos who have been in the House 1 yr and 9 mo.

DBI, you're a too nice guy. Everyone knows I'm the oldest thing, well I guess Durango is 90
by now, so, next to oldest thing on this blog. No one bites their tongue when speaking their
shit to me, I just bitch slap the mess out of them and call for facts, which they don't seem to
know the meaning of.
That pic ruined a beautiful morning for me.
Un un...don't coddle, pat me on the head in a dismissive way...I'm a tough old boot.

I've been wondering when someone was gonna reign-in these out-of-control investigative reporters. First they ruined a perfectly good war, then some of them started reporting what Monkeyboy did (rather than what They said he did). Now they've obviously been infiltrated by witches (the bad ones). Palin will have to call in her Kenyan witch-hunting preacher to do an exorcism if the 'hard' questions continue.
There is simply too much questioning/quality reporting occurring...that's our problem. Now if they'd just quit, things would be OK.
You talk real good for an old man, durango...:)

I fear for Mrs. Palin's sanity. What torture must she be going through in Arizona. Being coached within an inch of her life. Maybe even waterboarded until she gets her facts straight.
I suspect she will do better than everyone thinks Thursday. Unless the questions stray too far from the format.
I do know this, the tide had turned against McCain. I would not be suprised if Obama carries Arkansas by a small margin.

You all seem to keep forgetting we should just trust them because they are REPUBLICANS. Who are we to even have the audicity to ask them a question? In the immortal words of Wayne and Garth: "We're not worthy!"

Thanks, zelda. I do the best I can for my age. Gotta confess, though, hon: I have a sixtysomething nephew who writes most of my posts. I just check in on him now and then to be sure he's not writing anything that would embarrass or incriminate me. He ain't the most stable person in the world, as I'm sure you've surmised. I love the way you kick ass on here, zelda. Young women in my time didn't do much of that, and it's refreshing for an old man's eyes to see!
