Take it away

Or better yet, sit outside and have a drink. It's fall at last.

But wait .... hat tip to Ms. Bates for an early link to yet another excerpt from the Couric interviews with Sarah Palin.

Care to discuss any significant Supreme Court decisions in your lifetime, Miz Palin?

Roe v. Wade, naturally, but any others?

Er, nope.

I can think of one. I think the names Gore and Bush figure in it somewhere. She'll be prepped on that school prayer decision by Thursday. Count on it. And the one that said Bill Clinton had to testify in Jones v. Clinton.

ALSO: Couric also asked Palin to name a newspaper she read. Palin either couldn't or wouldn't name one. See below.

A fellow I knew married a woman close to her birthday.

After five years of hetic marriage he was firmly reminded
he had overlooked her birthday and their anniversary.

Wife said: "By this week end there had better be something
sitting in that driveway that goes from 0 to 170 in 5 seconds."

Wife awoke Saturday morning to see a brown box in the driveway
with ribbon around it.

She opened it to find a new pair of bathroom scales.

Hubby had gone fishing.

.......its so pretty I thot you'd like to listen twice.........:-)

>>Care to discuss any significant Supreme Court decisions in your lifetime, Miz Palin?

You can bet it may drift off towards abortion. But I would really like to hear her
views on creationism and the talking snake. That's what she wanted installed in
Alaskan schools.

Maybe, just maybe, they can chat about the current financial situation. That should be
a howler.
.

Brown v Board of E
Marbury v Madison
Miranda
Ledbetter v Goodyear
Bush v Gore
Youngstown
Dred Scott
Boumediene (sp?)
Plessy v Ferguson
Hamdan

And whatever the case was called which gave money the power of free speech.. and corporations more power than individual hunan beings.

I wonder if she knows who was President when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that television wasn't around then?

Woo Hooooo! McDonald's is starting another game of Monopoly. Brother, can you spare a five spot or more for a cup of coffee? I need the game pieces so I can win some moola to stash in my mattress.

Because we all could use a good laugh:

Fundamentalists blame Wall Street's woes on gays

by On Top Magazine

Christian fundamentalists are suggesting gays and lesbians are to blame
for Wall
Street's woes, a frequently made charge in the wake of national
calamities.
In a September 25th blog post titled 'The Nation Will Right Itself If
It Fixes
Sex', Christian Civil League of Maine Executive Director Michael Heath
writes
that the financial crisis facing Wall Street is a symptom of America's
sinful
sexual culture, including the acceptance of gay
unions.

Apparently she has no idea about the Court's ruling on the Second Amendment this summer. Sheese, that's just been about two months ago.

I'm so excited! What does astrology say!

I'm bustling to get ready for my trip to St. Louis and the VD, as one of my hipper Chenal neighbors characterized the Veep Debate over cocktails earlier.

But listen!

I just sent off my book proposal to my agent in NY, who of course is networked with Sarah Palin's agent, and here it is! Tell me what you think.

"Rex and Me!" The story of a lonely dinosaur and a lonely deity co-existing at the dawn of civilization 6,000 years ago. By Sarah Palin (with Norma Bates).

Synopsis: A lonely carpenter survives an economic downturn in cabinetry (it's the treeless desert near Jerusalem) when he stumbles upon an abandoned talking Tyrannosaurus rex baby and raises it to adulthood.

The arc is how the lonely desert deity finds love with 12 men and together they raise Rex together amidst stirring adventures in the dunes. For children of all ages.

The Quick Pitch?

"The New Testament (Carpenter) meets Jurassic Park (Rex) meets Snow While and the Seven Dwarfs (12 guys) meets Bambi (tragic / happy ending)."

I'm pulling up powerful Jungian archetypes, here. Plus, I'll be illustrating the book and writing it so all Sarah will have to do, with her, you know, family duties and VEEP makework, is endorse it like she wrote it.

The only problem I foresee is the sad / happy Bambi-like ending.

Just when Rex and those 12 guys accept the Carpenter as their true father, and also King of the Forest (or, in this case, dunes), he gets killed.

So then there're storms and lots of bad gay weather, and more adventurous chases and rescues until finally Rex stumbles upon a beautiful young Godzilla girl (whom I call "God") in peril and saves her and they go on to repopulate the earth with talking reptiles and that's why, even today, you never know when your Guardian Dinosaur might be just around the corner, or under your bed.

So THERE'S the merchandising tie-in. The Rex and God furry stuffed bedtime companions for children of all ages.

Seriously. I'm thinking Palin will love this.

Your thoughts and insights.

Oh, the 'cutzy' lady is back. Hey, Norman, any new 'cutzy' articles for us to peruse? So, you going to be at the debate? Kinky!!!! I didn't know that they would let code pink in this time. Did you get a fake ID to get in? If you had only asked me I could have gotten you a Young Republicans Press ID. Doesn't do anything for you, huh? Well, what can I say.

Watch how you spell that "cutzy" strangelove. Remember, this is the woman who wants the wimmen to keep their legs crossed until Nov. 4.

How many times must I explain this. 'Cutzy' is a literary license. I know how to spell it. I have a spell checker that 'sometimes' I remember to use. Lighten up a little bit, man.

Norma, darling, your ideas are veepalicious! I'm thinking maybe a remake of the remake of "The Women." Starring....oh, let's see. Any ideas for a well-rounded cast to complement Hillary and Sarah?

Anyone ready for a cartoon? Clicky

(and heck, strange, I thought I was lightening up,,,,too bad postings do not have tonal indicators)

I intend to keep repeating this over and over. Palin is as dumb as a box of rocks.
I'll add this: those who vote for her are also dumb as a box of rocks, and ya know what?
We get what we vote for.

Norma, please don't make me look under the bed. The last time I stuck a vacuum cleaner nozzle under there I found a many years lost Furby. Remember those? I quit vacuuming under the bed right then. If Furby's been under there that long, the bunnies have multiplied beyond belief. When this mattress set wears out, all I'll have to do is discard it and throw a dust ruffle over the bunnies. Save a few bucks that way, won't I?
Oh, and good luck with the book. I think you're gonna be the next J.K. It just gives me shivers to think, Strange and I will have known you when . . .

You're making fun of Reagan's economic policies when we are having to deal with the democrats handling of fannie/freddie? That takes a lot of nerve. Reagan didn't take our whole economic system.

You're making fun of Reagan's economic policies when we are having to deal with the democrats handling of fannie/freddie? That takes a lot of nerve. Reagan didn't tank our whole economic system.

I keep telling you. I hope that your guy gets elected. I hope the Congress increases the democrats. I want the American people to get their fill of the democrats.

What's a Furby????

........but, oh the sights and wonders I find under 19 yr old G'son's bed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look, it is painful for me to watch her in an interview. Couric loves to drill down with her questions. She doesn't do that with the demos. However, Republicans have to be able to handle that from the MSM. That is the nature of the beast that we have to deal with. Demos usually don't get the level of scrutiny but we expect that. She has to as well.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about dumb bunny, shifty eyed, lyin' Palin. Oh, but she so sweetly softpedaled how dumb Katie was. Why Katie, to say nothing about the lower 48 and Hawaii, should know better. Alaska is much more than dog sleds, eskimos and igloos. They might even have a paper up there.
Uh, say, did any of you catch the name of it?

Furbies were little six inch or so furry big eyed creatures that invaded us maybe ten years ago. They spoke Furbish when they first came home with you, but supposedly would learn more and more English as you talked to them. I got a dumb one I guess. I never could understand a thing the little creature said.

Did I just see one of The Rockin' Guys on the ten o'clock news?

"Demos usually don't get the level of scrutiny but we expect that. " -strange

Yes, hard-hitting questions like, "Can you name a magazine or newspaper you read?"

Poor ole Palin was handed another "gotcha" question, so naturally the best should could do is say, "All of of them. Any of them. I appreciate them. I have a vast, variety of sources, that we get our...."

You're a joke.

"Couric loves to drill down with her questions. She doesn't do that with the demos." strangle

Wow, you mean like Couric's repeated request that Palin name just 1 teensy weensy publication- newspaper, magazine, etc.- that Palin reads or gets information from after Palin said she reads all of them? Boy, strangle, you've really nailed it there. That is one 'drill down' question for sure.

Why, if you asked Obama or Biden such a 'drill down' question they would probably start drooling on themselves! Yeah, keep believing that, bubba.

The American public is going to be so relieved not to be living in incompetency hell, that the Obama Presidency will be appreciated for not being horrid. I'm thrilled he can put a couple of sentences together nicely. (Of course we'll be broke and in the middle of all kinds of failures that need fixing.) It's a low, low bar you Republicans have set for the next Democratic President.

I intended to watch the interview, but it's going to be painful and I'm too squeamish.

What was for supper, jazzy? Grilled cheese sandwich here...decadent and delicious.

"I wonder if she knows who was President when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that television wasn't around then?" strangebrew

Just like you Strange, if asked she probably remembers the show and what channel it was on!

". . . we have arrived at the point, where anyone identifying themselves as a Republican is either unremittingly dishonest and unethical or unremittingly stupid! . . ."

Thanks Doigotta, I wondered what strangebrew reminded me of. Someone found a Furby under their bed or in a closet, didn't know what it was and put new batteries in it and gave it internet access!

Good God, if she can't handle a soft-ball from Couric, what do you read?, how in hell is she

gonna deal with all them foreigners and terrorist that are comin to get us????

This woman is as vacant as all the other repukes, fits right in.

Remember when Raygun closed all the mental hospitals and turned all the mentally ill out on the

streets??? These are their offspring.

Docholliday.........LMAO..........best come back of the day.

I'm so excited! What does astrology say!<<<

Says things will have a tense undertone, very tense. Suggest deep purple or black with nice diamonds, but maybe the fakes cause you WILL BE in crime-ridden Saint Louis. But recall Scorpio rules diamonds, and favors black.

But hey, if you
need protection go to the whsle veggie markets, ask for Joe K. Tell him a guy from Ark suggests he could keep you safe. Nothing will happen to you. Back to Black and diamonds.

Joe and associates have a controlling interest there which extends into other areas of the metropolis. Recognize him by the dark, thick, wavy hair, soft voice, dark shirt and dark tie, loves silk jackets, about 6 ft. somewhat portly, 60ish, always a black Mercedes , usu 620SL like model. He doesn't say much, esp to strangers, men or women. Has napalm burns on his L calf he got in Nam. But why would you look there?

Ok Mars in Libra so passive-aggressive people come out, always politely trying to argue, have a strategy worked out, and try to avoid lengthy indecision. Wait! Mars in Libra, Venus in Scorpio, that's a "mutual reception" (in each others signs) so it may be passive-aggressive women, real dykie types to watch for, I'm thinking Palin like wannabe s ....big on promise but don't expect much other than post-adolescent excitement.

Planets favor Biden who has had almost NO coverage from MSM. Palin all built up, Joe, snake in grass, may just be on his game. Hope he realizes she's a girl. I'm sure he will properly refer to opposition as "Governor," all proper like until he unloads on her, talks about her tax increases which all Americans must bear because she put HUGE taxes on Big Oil and we must pay for it.
Nay, he may not do that, but he should.
.

Inspirational Palin poster at my name.

Btw, Federal judge handed Ohio Repubs a big defeat today. Said they could not stop early registration drives AND early voting. How's a cager gonna get anything done if someone can register one day and vote the next day!! Not even time to scrub the rolls. Oh well, I noted the state party chair said it would not be appealed but offers the opportunity for cheating.

So long Blackwell you corrupt MF.

I just watched a video (blue name link) at TPM of McCain talking to reporters from the Des Moines Register, I believe it was.

I just about blew a gasket listening to that arrogant bastard. He's still defending the "sex ed for kindergarteners" ad, and when he gets pushed, he pulls out his "service I gave to this country" line. I don't think I've ever heard him use it with as little class.

When this election started, I had some respect for McCain, certainly not anger. I'm telling you, I hate that friggin' SOB worse than Bush at this point. McCain has absolutely no character, no shame. He's as bottom dwelling as they come.

Here's another video, less grating than the last one (blue name).

Looks like a Fox News split is an Obama strike. Listen for the laughter at the end.

Thanks, Jazzy! Even if I am so ancient, I had to google LMAO.

When logic fails, humour and ridicule seems to work.

Click for one of your type treats, Jazzy.

UH-OH! Hellfire and Damnation! Y'all :-) stirred up old man 'Sl' and he's uh stinking again...sigh*!*! :-(

She said "tapped." ha ha. Sarah Palin was tapped by McCain. Every time they say it, I just chuckle like Beavis and Butthead.

Hey Katie, she reads Cosmo. That's it. She gets her "news" and everything else from Cosmo, and occasionally from People.
