Why do you doubt the polls? What is the basis for that? I see no reason to doubt a blow out in November. I don't think at this point there is any doubt about who will win the Presidency and who will add seats to both the Senate and the House. I see no reason to doubt that.

When third party candidates are included, it's "only" a 12 point lead.

I'm not buying either, Max. They're setting him up for a fall. Best to be an underdog. On the other hand, Dems can't win a close national election. They're more disciplined over on the Dark Side, and they'll steal it every time. The Dems have to win in a blowout if they win at all.

How dare ACORN register voters and make a few mistakes along the way... which is bound to happen when many thousands of on the street encounters are needed to register well over a million folks on clipboards. And WHO exactly is it that hates all of us for our freedom and Democracy? Who are the lying anti Democracy terrorists? The fascists in the GOP, that's who.

Obama is running so far to the right.. he's falling somewhere between Clinton and Reagan on the conservative scale if you actually look at his actions this year.... yet the old Reagan lovers are ready to cut off their countries nose despite it's potential...due to their inability to get past their anger and bigotry... And I sincerely believe it's because many folks who are voting Republican (outside of the upper 5 percent income bracket) want to remain angry... they don't want to fix things at all... they cannot imagine improving upon the perfect rage storm they have had for the better part of the last few decades.

Why demand fair wages and health care for all...when you can continue to fund MIC and blow up several countries (currently 175 million innocent people) for fun and God?

And our AR Democrats are the most pathetic excuses for politicians I have ever imagined... they stand for nothing except the AR rich... and they do this to such a degree their can be no mistaking how spineless and afraid of bigotry in their districts they really are.... they have less problem with the ways things have been for the last eight years than they have with what lies ahead. Mark Pryor gave at least 150K to Mary Landreiu this cycle... Landreiu is his buddy on the Homeland Security Committee (and gang of Fourteen, think of all the wrong Bush appointees here... Alito Roberts Gonzales and many many more))) who all set down for Bush and Brownie in re the outrageous treatment of our fellow citizens for the last several years. Mark Pryor is Bush and he's funding the demise of the D party and our country far and wide...while doing nothing, NOTHING to help it at all. And the same goes for Mike Ross.

For the McGOP it's all about bottom feeding and dividing the rest for the GOP... and if they need a Palin to come along and coddle the folks into a lynch mob fervor...well we knew before it happened it was all they had.

In the NYT article about the poll Max posted above.. it said 13 percent Independents and 14 percent of Republicans still think Obama is a Muslim... How incredibly stupid can one be to think that at this point in time?

Jerking this country out of the control of Republican fascists is just the very first step... The Democrats like all of our AR office holders should be next on the list... no matter how long it takes.

The numbers clearly show that Barack Obama will be our President.
If McCain wins, it's a clear sign to the world that Diebold and the R's stole another election.

Lordy, lordy...I have to be married to the most pessimistic man alive. He says the polls are meaningless because the Repubs are stealing another one, as we chat. Then he tosses out those darn specifics, like the reasons Rove installed Timmy Griffin et al into key offices across the country: To toss out early claims of voter purging, to pave the way for another Ohio/Florida...another Supreme Court selection. To disenfranchise as many voters as possible and block any attempts to seek justice through the Justice Department.

I want to go back to the times when I actually believed our presidential elections couldn't be stolen...outright. It somehow made tolerating a Reagan easier.

I don't understand how a Party can be smart enough to steal two presidencies but not smart enough to do a damn thing right for eight years...unless eLwood/bejeeus are right about Norquist's evil plan to destroy government outright in order to eliminate any threat from people crawling out of poverty through government's extended hand. Guess too many of our middle-class/poor children were competing with idiot legacies like Monkeyboy/McSame....can't have a level playing field when one side's gene pool is producing idiots. No Medicare/SS will also eliminate all those old and/or sick people from sucking the country dry...law of the jungle, blah blah.

History is judging the Republican party as we watch, and it is not pretty. People pretty much know incompetence, arrogance, injustice and out-and-out criminal behavior when they see it.

The fundamental issue behind the disbelief at the polls is a lack of accountability from Republicans in general; it's always someone else's fault. When presented with data, it is impossible for them to look at themselves honestly. They are unable to not blame others for their own failings.

On a maturity scale of accepting the consequences of right v. wrong, they seem to be permanently stuck in Junior High.

These polls are a load of crap! Rep for Nobama, why is it that when a person doesn't share your opinion all you can do is name call and criticize? If you just come over to freepiblic for amusement, have your laugh and get off ! If you weren't so thick headed, narrow minded and had permenant blinders on you could look back in our recent history and see that the shape we're in today started with Wimpy Carter, was accelerated by Slick Willy and not repaired by Spendthrift Bush. The House and Senate allowed them to do pretty much as they pleased as then sat there accepting our tax dollars for salaries taking care of themselves ( both parties ). It's not the republicans that have screweed things up ... it's the republicans and the democrats and the two running now don't look any better. Both have good points and bad points but what are the REAL agendas !!!
