And we were hoping for a stimulus check ...

Gov. Beebe says the state should save SOME of its $259.5 million surplus for a rainy day, rather than letting the legislators dole out presents. The storm clouds are gathering.

Guess the Governor should have stayed out of the Senate race in Conway. He is in for a nasty surprise when those pigeons come home to roost.

Here's a crazy idea. Why don't we use the money to pay off some of out debt? We have lots of bond debts we could pay off early. Or would Stephens and the other bond daddy's not like that idea?

Gov Beebe is 100% Correct. Bush/Cheney layoffs are just beginning, you know the "trickle down"

effect coming home to roost. Soon it will be a gush. Washington County is now noticeably behind in property tax collections.

This assumes of course, that Baker retains his seat.
