God, guns and gays

The Republican formula embodied in the headline is going to get a workout in the final days of the campaign, if the message on Mike Huckabee's PAC website is any indication. And there's  little doubt he's been comparing notes with McCain campaign leaders.

I've said before Huckabee would have been a sharper, tougher and smoother talking running mate than Sarah Palin. That is not to say he's more trustworthy.

Among the erroneous information in his call to arms for Christian soldiers is the assertion that Franklin Raines is "chief economic adviser" to Barack Obama. Fact checker says that's a wild exaggeration. Huck also says Obama "worked" with ACORN. Another bit of misinformation. His misinformation about Acorn's role in the current financial crisis is part of a wildly erroneous campaign theme that Republicans have been pushing for weeks. He misstates by a factor of 100 or more the fees Acorn has received for originating mortgages for low-income families and makes no reference to data that indicates the default rate on low-income mortgage programs has been better than that for the country as a whole.

But back to Huckpac. How do you stand up to the gun-grabbing atheist queers who support Obama? You send money to The Huckster, of course.

From his website:

We want to ask all our HuckPAC supporters to consider giving at least $5 for each of these 5 reasons that this election is important:

1.  Protection of Human Life

2.  Traditional Marriage

3.  Tax policy that doesn't punish people for working, but rewards them

4.  2nd amendment rights

5.  Supreme Court and Federal Court judge selection

That would be a $25 contribution recognizing the importance of these issues.  Hey, you might have 3 or 4 other issues so feel free to add $15 or $20 if you like !

Naturally, expenses during the month of October are the heaviest we’ll have this year due to the proximity of the elections, but this is the most important appeal we’ll have this year.  I hope we can count on you today!

Hey, if the money is good don't be surprised to see eLwood's new blog on

But Huck has it right, Money=Godliness
Yea Mo-Money.

I suppose the Fuck'emPac is doing the best it can do.

I had to note that Huckabuck is not God status...yet

The comments on the HuckPAC "blog" are pure gold....

As usual the two most important issues to RwingNuts:

Controlling Women's Bodies
Fear Of Same-Sex Marriage

Not the financial collapse, not the war this country was LIED into, not the criminally incompetent FEMA during Katrina, not the skyrocking oil prices overall the past 2 years and the increase in the trade deficit and loss of America's ability to manufacture hard goods and products.

"Yeah but we have lib-er-all meedia agitain' this stuff up"

Liberal Media, WHAT liberal media:

AR Democrat-Gazette?
Fox News Channel?
Stephens Media Group (Pine Bluff Commercial, FS SW Times Record, Morning News of NWA)?
kaRn?
KATV--Albritton owned?
KARK--RwingNut bias?
KTHV--employs a Bob Jones Grad as a News Reporter?
KLRT--affiliate of FOX?
American Family Radio ( Radio mouthpiece of American Family Association)?

Even AETN has strong conservative influences, such as Gilbert Baker, the tradition of preempting controversial programming (ie Banished earlier this year?)

Even AETN has strong conservative influences, such as Gilbert Baker, the tradition of preempting controversial programming (ie Banished earlier this year?)<<

I would sure like to hear more Ms Haley.

TY.

.

Speaking of AETN, I noticed one day on my Dish on-screen guide that "Gina D's Kids Club" airs on *both* AETN DT3 ("AETN Kids" digital subchannel and KVTN (VTN)! The strange things one sees while searching the 200+ channels of ***p to find something to watch....

Why is AETN buying programming that is also broadcast by religious television stations? Click on the blue name.

Your name-link doesn't work Ms Haley.

Correction, AETN DT4 is their 24/7 Children's Programming channel. DT3 is the "AETN Scholar" channel

Miss Haley,

Gina D claims there are 1 billion shortwave radios on the planet.

That is one for every 5 people on earth.

Can that be?

These sound to be trumped up numbers. Are all her numbers as fake as this one?

No-one I know has a short wave radio. That is probably a couple hundred people which if that is common in the us and in europe then vertually every human on earth that is literate would have to have a shortwave radio.

I think Gina D is making wild ass claims and should be banned from the airwaves.

I don't know what you Obots are so smug and happy about. On my name is The Lightbringer's friend & pal Douglas W. Kmiec. Seems to me he's kind'a single minded too.

But, that's OK, ya'll just keep ranting about the loonatic Repukes, cuz ur guy's so lovely.

I'm turning this into a debate pro or con over Shortwave Broadcasting, but during the early 1990's the so called "Patriot Movement"--the far, far right-- used domestic shortwave stations to broadcast their messages. They did this under the noses of the general public because "Shortwave Radio" isn't a mass media in the US---no thanks to the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) which lobbied to kill domestic SW Broadcasting after WWII . Even today many of the religious SWB stations sell ad time to fringe far-right broadcasts.

But I'm concerned over the mainstream media--when AETN airs Gina D to the Kids, and programs like PBS POV are relegated to late on Sunday Nights. Meanwhile, certain public TV programs such as "In The Life" never saw the light of day on AETN but on every other fundrasing period AETN has some Southern Gospel show or that Elvis Presley show about him doing Gospel music.

Make no mistake, finding liberal media in Arkansas is like finding a rock radio station that doens't play EITHER of the following: Nickleback, Lynard Skynard, or Metallica

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Nevada state authorities are raiding the Las Vegas headquarters of an organization that works to get low-income people to vote.

A Nevada secretary of state's office spokesman said Tuesday that investigators are looking for evidence of voter fraud at the office of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/V/VOTER_FRAUD_PROBE?SITE=KLIF&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

If ACORN is guilty of voter fraud, they should get the same treatment as the Keating Five.

And if ACORN is guilty of voter fraud, they should get the same treatment that the Republicans should have gotten in Florida and Ohio.

Fraud is fraud, it doesn't make any difference whose flag it's committed under!

Democratic fraud is no more defensible than Republican fraud!

Sky Pilot,
Considering the source there should be more breaking news related to this story.
Recall we has some similar instances with Huckabuck's wife in Ark attempting to
shut down voter registration.
.

From Max's post: "Huck also says Obama "worked" with ACORN. Another bit of misinformation." Misinformation how? Obama trained ACORN workers in tactics.
