McCainiacs on the march
Speaking of angry, hate-filled people: The "Religious" Right is stepping up its alarmist attacks on Obama. The leader of this effort is the parent of Arkansas's "Family" Council, which has waged war in Arkansas on families, women and any others that disagree with their religion for decades now. Tell them you've had enough hate. Vote NO on INITIATED ACT 1. And for Obama, of course.

Comments
What the f#%k is happening to this country? Are people so small minded that they can no longer say; "I don't believe in his policies and therefore I am voting for McCain." You would think that if these nice Christian folks could see themselves on this video (and others like it) they would be totally ashamed. But I'm not too sure they would be. Sad.
The hate and name calling has gotten way over the top. I actually fear for Obama when he gets elected.

In her senior year of high school my daughter told me that she was gay. I told her I didn't care.
That I loved, and supported her no matter what. I lied about the first part. I do care, because I'm
afraid for her. Why do so many people hate her when they don't even know her? Every time she
comes home for a visit her first question is "When am I gonna get to hang out with my
nephews?". They range in age from 1 to 5. You should see them together. They talk, play, read,
draw and do the same stuff we all do when we love someone.
All of those people who scream about "decency" need to take a long look at themselves. They
are obviously thinking way too much about what goes on under the covers. After all, that is the
only difference. Do they do that with heterosexuals? Do they wonder who gets on top? What's
so decent about that?

so me bein' for a person's fundamental rights--the right to marry, for example-- is "hate", chasv? r u dumb? (I should figure out a more genteel way to say that, but I can't.) Oh well, your kind will die out... Just like your segregationist/anti-woman's-rights predecessors have/are. Yes, you can trace your pedigree--the way you view the world--directly to those fools of history. Because in twenty years, you will be a fool of history. You just don't realize it now--and neither did they.
P.S. Please be sure to boycott Apple products, chasv et. al. They donated $100,000 against proposition 8 in California, which would make a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. http://www.apple.com/hotnews/
Just scroll down to their statement on their news section:
Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees' same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person's fundamental rights - including the right to marry - should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.

This is the kind of "Christian" that:
believes everyone else is going to be left behind in the "Rapture" except them.
only does "honest" business with other "Christians."
rips off "unbelievers" because they will be "left behind" and are already damned or dead.
would probably kill those "unbelievers" right now if they were sure they could avoid prison.
have raised/are raising the next generation of Hitler Youth.
think health care is not a right (life ala Bill of Rights would include not withholding medical care, a criminal offense).
see nothing wrong in using up the Earth as fast as possible, see "Rapture" and "Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney."
have a need to be led down whatever path due to not being taught or being afraid to think logically.
are in complete denial about the abuse of all kinds going on in their own family and community.
frequently justify such abuse as being "God-directed" or "God's" punishment or "God's" will.
are just as insane and extreme as the terrorist Muslims they rail against.
refuse to realize their "faith," just like extremist Muslims, is being manipulated for the power and wealth of a few.
will never see "Religulous" or "W."
have never considered that they might be wrong.

The right wing "Killer" Christians elected Bush twice. What more proof do you need that they are wrong about most things.
Nobody I know of is pro abortion, but there are those who want to be able to apply a single standard in every case. Abortion is between a woman, her doctor, and her God and nobody else, including the government, has any say.
If you are a Christian, you have to believe that God is in charge and will deal with each individual case in an appropriate manner. It sure makes is a lot easier on the believer, since faith will carry the day and they don't have to go around judging and all that goes with it.
The Republicans who are in office don't care one way or the other about abortion. Abortion is one of those wedge issues they have used to get elected. They manipulate the not so smart wingnuts and then laugh at them in private, while giving the super rich more tax breaks.

I think maybe that clip came from a chasv convention. Hundreds of old white chasvs walking around screaming nonsense they're damn sure about....based on nothing...directed at anyone who isn't a white hater trusting in a myth while refusing to believe what is before their eyes...just like themselves. Yep.....it's a chasv convention for sure.
Maybe these haters in this clip all belong to Sarah Palin's church? A story in the NY Times today sorta sheds light on the Patriotic America, the Real America bullshit McCain and especially Palin have been spouting. Take a read:
"What is known, however, is that Ms. Palin has had long associations with religious leaders who practice a particularly assertive and urgent brand of Pentecostalism known as "spiritual warfare."
Its adherents believe that demonic forces can colonize specific geographic areas and individuals, and that "spiritual warriors" must "battle" them to assert God's control, using prayer and evangelism. The movement's fixation on demons, its aggressiveness and its leaders' claims to exalted spiritual authority have troubled even some Pentecostal Christians."
The line, demonic forces can colonize specific geographic areas and individuals struck me as going along with Palin's idea that there are parts of the country LESS patriotic, less REAL than other parts of the US. No doubt Massachusetts must have a much higher level of demons than say, Utah, huh? And would that suggest that Obama supporters are being controlled by demons...or worse yet, ARE demons? Add it up....Obama is black (shudder), is a Muslim (shudder), is a God-less Democrat (shudder), is a demon (double and triple shudder)!
OK......I get now.....why chasv and the other dinosaurs are so upset and love to scream hateful stuff at TV cameras. It's demons they're scared of. Well...demons and bastard professors and Negroes included.
I'm not for Poll Taxes or land ownership requirements to qualify a person to vote, but I think it might be wise to conduct a national IQ test to qualify a person to vote....and make it real easy so most idiots can pass it. It would still weed out the criminally stupid like chasv and the people in this clip and then we'd stop getting retarded people in office like Bush and Mark W. Pryor. With a couple of thousand more ignorant haters.....we might finally be too stupid to be a country. Maybe we should give America back to the Indians and call it a day.

I agree with you, strangelove, when you say, "Vote in support of decency standards for the raising of children in Arkansas."
Absolutely! Vote in support of Arkansas values and Arkansas decency.
As the distinguished leader of the Arkansas Southern Baptist Convention, Brooks Hays, a native-born son of the state, once wrote, "The spiritual and moral basis for a free society is found in the universal forces of justice and liberty and love."
I'm going to vote for Arkansas values and Arkansas decency--for justice, liberty, and love--in casting my vote against the hate-based initiated act 1.
In fact, I'm hoping that this vote will be a vote against what runs against the grain of core Arkansas values--the attempt to separate and control people through hatred and name-calling ("you liberals," "you pansies," "White House becoming black house," "queers," etc.
Just sickening, the free-floating hate that moves from one stigmatized group to another, and always spews out of the same mouths. We need far less of that in Arkansas. It's not like we don't have problems galore to solve by pulling together and recognizing everyone's dignity, after all, is it?
I urge readers to vote against initiated act 1 and for Arkansas values of justice, liberty, and love.

I think it would be a great idea to take a tip from Steven Colbert and have AETN run a year long series titled: Better Know a Homosexual.
In the series a of interviews with Arkansas homosexuals, the Bible beating haters could get to know a representative number of average homosexuals and maybe by the end find out that gay people are not all flesh licking monsters. The only way to cure a homophobe is through education. Yelling at them just makes them hate gays with a greater intensity and promotes more nightmares of roving bands of naked homosexuals who take over small Arkansas towns in order to defile their children on the steps of the church.
Feeding the starving is very important, but educating homophobes will allow the well fed to live in peace from now on. I got a hundred I'd throw in to produce Better Know a Homosexual, if strangelove and chasv promise they'll watch.

Well, at least they're not practicing verticalism.
And spiritual warfare keeps them off the streets and allows them to howl at the Moon, inside a square box building. You can see the air and noise pollution (above) which occurs when the Palin Ghouls come out in the day time.
Algol is rising each evening now thru the election.

Jesus loves me this I know
For the Bible tells me so
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak but He is strong
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
Yes, Jesus loves me
The Bible tells me so
I guess I would remind you all that we're all sinful creatures. Do you think there is a hair's breadth difference to God between you and those people on the film you judge so quickly?
Have you lived their lives? Do you know their fears? You condemn them as they condemn Obama, yet on what basis do you make this judgment, that you are so free of sin and they are not?
Do you think God differentiates between their hate of Obama and your hate of the people who hate Obama? Do you think God differentiates between their hate of Obama and your hate of Palin?
Is your assumption that Jesus is a Democrat any different than their assumption that Jesus is a Republican?
Now, if you were all Buddhists, you'd have a better shot at what you're trying to do, but geography is destiny, know what I mean?

Extremists, hate is hate is hate.
Many of us are growing VERY weary of it. On these threads, those who promote hate of one group--e.g., people of color--consistently promote hate of other groups--e.g., gays. Their agenda seems to be hate, period.
The world is full enough of hatred. And when the problems we face as a culture are so profound, hate is a luxury in which we just can't afford to indulge.
Most of all, I think many of us in this country are sick and tired of the hate-mongering by people who bash gays, bash blacks, bash poor people, bash anyone who disagrees with them, and then speak about God from the same dirty mouth that has just uttered words of hate.
Is it any wonder that polls are indicating Obama and McCain are running neck and neck among born-again Christians? And that younger evangelicals and younger Catholics are moving overwhelmingly away from a political group that has come to stand for nothing but hate?

Well Extremists, shall we gather at the River for the roll will be called up yonder as you and I will fly away.
As for me, I hate nothing at all except hatred.
I had one very true-blue racist uncle who maintained n*ggers could not git into heaven. He didn't have the explanation worked out real good back then but he formulated something about them not being "persons."
Another uncle who had been around the world as a GI and served with Negroes was sure that such folks would have a place in Heaven if they followed the Good Book. I really hated it when one them died. Family reunions were never the same. The racist uncle always spit when when he made a proclamation.
But anyway, someone should ask Sarah Palin what if she and Michelle must share the same bungalow in Heaven? After all, god works in mysterious ways and s/he could determine that chasv and Barack's minister Rev Wright would make good roommates in the Golden City above the Clouds where both could praise the Savior all the day long.

dbi, there is not one damn thing about homosexuals we need educating about.
Don't you for one minute think we don't know about their acts.. IT is not sex for it is disgusting to say the least..Inhuman behavior.

It's none of my business and I wouldn't waste a nano-second of my time thinking about you 2. You MUST quite being fascinated by homosexual sex acts taking place behind closed doors! Sicko!
But you'd leave the world a little happier and more intelligent if you knew more about gay people. I'm talking education about how good or bad they are as human beings. Know the facts...know the truth. I can study tuna without becoming a fish. You can learn more about homosexuals without risking getting a swish or losing your place in the line for heaven.
Why do you crave ignorance of your own world so much? I promise if you knew more about homosexuality, you'd worry less and sleep better. You can be better if you'd just try!

Interesting - it would appear that the staunch GOP advocates endorsing slurs against the Democrat Candidate don't seem to be ashamed in their moral high ground.

I'm way late getting to read this thread - but it is interesting how all the references to hate always point to others - and never mention the bile that is spewed in so many of the posting s on this blog. (And I am NOT referring to those skewed so far to the right that even I have to wonder about them).
The double standard lives on - apparently its only hate when THEY do it.
You may disagree with Jerry Cox and you may find his opinions offensive, but as far as I can tell, at least he keeps his comments civil. That's more than I can say about those who oppose him on this blog.
