Best and worst of 2008
I guess the campaign really started in 2007, didn't it? Anyway, John Brummett compiles his best and worsts of campaign 2008. Have any nominees of your own?

Best (or better, of the 2 major parties) slate of primary candidates: Democrats. Lots of talent available for cabinet posts there.
Worst slate of primary candidates: Republicans. When Ron Paul is the only one in the bunch who makes any kind of sense in the debates, you know they're in trouble.
Silliest Obama maneuver (really, one of the very few): The Obama Pseudo-presidential podium seal.
Most absurd decision of the entire campaign 2008: You know her, you love or hate her; you want to kiss or slap her: Caribou Barbie. Sweet Lord, how in the world?

Hugh, my darling, you must be aware that 64% of Republicans support the idea of Sarah Palin running again in 2012!

"...you must be aware that 64% of Republicans support the idea of Sarah Palin running again in 2012!"
There's hope. Maybe the crooked-calculative-mean sector of the GOP will be overrun by the impulsive and "dumb as a jar of dicks" sector. If so, Palin's their man in 2012!
*wink*

LargeAss, watch the video of Obama saying 57 states: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpGH02DtIws
Now, try arguing to me that this wasn't a simple gaffe, whereas Palin's (which MCCAIN AIDES ARE SAYING) gaffe shows she actually didn't know.
I'm sorry LA, but that's incredibly unfair. You're either dishonest or too dumb to discern the different between Palin actually not know that Africa is a continent (and how much more significant it is that MCCAIN aides broke the news--rather than misrepresenting soundbite).
Thank god you're simply posting on a blog (and not making significant choices with your decision-making ability).

SORRY JD. I HEARD HIM SAY IT BEFORE THE EDITING HIT. AND YOU CAN THANK GOD FOR ANSWERING YOUR PRAYERS.. YOU JUST DIDNT GET THE ANSWER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.
SORRY. AND ITS JUST YOUR OPINION. IT DOESNT COUNT. REMEMBER??
CANT HAVE DO OVERS. DID YOU HEAR THE TAPE OF PALIN SAY THAT.. DONT THINK SO. SORRY AGAIN. YOU LOSE. GAME OVER
YOU SOUND LIKE THE DUMB ONE. 57 JUST COUNT EM 57.. GUESS HE COUNTED VOTES FROM ALL 57 TOO, TO WIN. SORRY , THE WHOLE WORLD HEARD IT.. BASIC CIVICS.. SCUSE ME.. HE'S NEVER BEEN IN CHARGE, I FORGOT.

You nailed the question, JD: Is AL being dishonest or is he just too dumb to discern?
Obama was President of the Harvard Law Review. They don't hand those presidencies out like they do Gideon Testaments.
Palin was not President of the Harvard Law Review, nor even the Wasilla Law Review. But she can gut a moose with the best of them.
