Calling the Hogs
Before I return to political news, I'd like to take note of Harry King's update on matters at the Razorback Foundation, the secretive, influence-peddling, coach- and A.D.-backscratching financial giant that answers to know one.
The powers that be decree that the next permanent leader of the Foundation, now that Chuck Dicus is gone, must be a true-blue (red) Razorback. I understand the feeling. But shouldn't the first qualification be the ability to lead a multi-million-dollar organization? Arkansas ties likely would be helpful in the job. But still.
Secondly, Ken Mourton, the Foundation's board chair, declares that the Foundation isn't subject to the FOI because it receives no public money. Ticket sales are not public money? I beg your pardon. These guys are too big for their britches and they've just approved a rule change that will allow the ruling clique to do as it wishes without input from the broad participation of the people who provide the money. This needs 1) a lawsuit 2) fixing in general.

I agree Max. Furthermore, their policy of "requesting" donations in order to purchase a ticket is scalping. They bust people outside the stadium for this very same offense.
