Election '08 -- two views

The morning mail brings a couple of graphic viewpoints on Tuesday's election. Photo above is from my daughter Martha, who's among the volunteers preparing for a Biden rally in Florida. Below, Blog reader, ace photographer and funny guy Rick Baber sends a roadside image from what he calls "lapland," the wilds of Fayetteville-Springdale.

Re: Rick's photo:

So few words say ever so much. What do you bet there have been some Nobama tattoos issued at this fine establishment?

Tattoos while you wait.

Here's another "sign" of the political lows some people will stoop to:

GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. - A suburban Detroit woman has decided to scare up
the vote among neighborhood children by just offering treats to John McCain supporters.

Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., handed out candy Friday only to those who
shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah
Palin. Others were turned away empty-handed.

TV station WJBK says a sign outside Nagel's house warned: "No handouts for Obama
supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters."

Nagel calls Democrat Barack Obama "scary." When asked about children who were turned
away empty-handed and crying, she said: "Oh well. Everybody has a choice."

So, we can safely say McCain supporters take candy from babies?

It's beyond me. It was just a generation ago that tatoos were so taboo. Only low-life had them.
A mother's worst horror was discovering her son had a tatoo. Now mother joins daughter and designs a tattoo.

Sorry youngin's they still have that trashy image to me. Just wait till you're forty two and you've been wearing the same tattoo for 16 years and the skin is kinda saggy...the cost of removal is enormous.

Oh I meant to add my usual view on tattoos.

They were historically used to mark slaves.

Strangely it seems to have come full circle.

.

OLGA WHERE DO YOU GET THIS TRIPE.. SOMETHING YOU DREAM UP WHEN YOU ARE TRASHED.

Wonkette has a hilarious thread on this tattoo parlor.
