Mitt takes the high road
The high road is generally the road not taken by Mike Huckabee. But Mitt Romney? That's another matter. From his interview today with Wolf Blitzer:
BLITZER: One final question, Governor, before I let you go. Mike Huckabee was your rival, the former Arkansas governor, for president of the United States.
In his new book, “Do the Right Thing,” he writes this -- he really slams you. He says, “His attitude of disrespect trickled down through his ranks, too, and was one of the reasons that, while there was generally good camaraderie among the candidates, there was an almost universal discomfort with Romney and his team.”
I’m going to give you a chance to respond to Huckabee’s criticisms.
(LAUGHTER)
ROMNEY: Well, you know, with the challenges we have, an automobile industry on the ropes, with the economy in real trouble, with global terror continuing to be a threat, I don’t think a lot of people have a great deal of interest in a couple losing campaigns from a year or two ago.
So I’m going to reserve my time and my thoughts for strengthening our party, and for standing behind the right policies and principles that will make America the leader of nations that it’s always been.

Once a sideshow always a side show. That's in the eLwood playbook for Huck.
When the "Whine Thing" gets more traction Ark's favorite sideshow is caput,
Did anyone other than me watch Huck Show on FOX Saturday evening? Other
than liberal Dan Rather it was the lamest thing on TV. Slightly below reruns of
Lawrence Welk Show. They closed out doing a Beatle's song, a sexy, raunchy one.
Jetherine came on stage and to me it looked as if she was carrying something.
Then I realized her hands were folded together beneath her tummy. They should
correct that TV shot cause it can really fool people, esp if they wear too much bright
red.
Huck, Move to Texas. Grass is greener there. Being from Hope has played out.
No one wants sloppy seconds.
After all, you had your big boost into big bucks in Texas. Your wife would do well in
Texas. Bush is giving up his leased wranch now that the show is over. So, why not.
You might even get the leased bulls to go with the wranch house.
Plus, the crawford wranch house has Presidential announcement studio built in.
BUCKSVILLE, Texas is the place to be.
THREE, count'em, Texas Presidents cannot be wrong about Texas soil, air , water.

My experience in following the path of Governor Huckabee is Mike is normally on the high road. As for Mitt Romney, well...
If Governor Romney was serious about doing what is right for America, especially fiscally, he would not continue to give the international corporations to which he is totally submerged in the huge advantage from our nation's tax structure. His company made him a fortune buying up companies after President Reagan opened up the import trading to an open market without any duty. Romney would buy companies that were being slowly strangled by imports and would sell them for parts making the quick buck. The orders the companies he parted out were then open to the lowest bidder, overseas.
To speculate on what happened next, those manufacturing orders were then put into overseas manufacturing, probably the same company that bought up the equipment from Romney and filled the orders. One could think of Romney being the corporation overseas now manufacturing the same parts and shipping them into America which bypassed the American Production tax of about 40% on American Manufacturing. Wonder how much of a profit margrin that created?
So if Mitt says he is for making America great again, why would he not mention how our tax structure has destroyed our Country's manufacturing base? Does his conflict of interest such that he would lie? Did he lie in the campaign he ran? Did he tell the truth? Mitt is and was the Candidate of the Big Government crowd now being referred to as the RHINOs. They will never stop the destruction of this Nation, which has been going on for many years. They are not stupid and know full well our production tax policy has moved manufacturing overseas. If they were for our Nation, they would have changed our tax structure over to consumption when Reagan created free trade.
It is time for the American people to demand their prosperity back and that comes from the, over 20 million dollar to create, 'Fair Tax Plan'. We have provided enough spread the wealth to the rest of the world and it is time for Fair Trade!!! If you don't, the next change will be a one world currency leading to one world order. Tell your neighbor and have them tell their neighbor, let the grassroots catch fire to this truth and demand our Liberty back.

For once Mormon Mitt is right! No one is interested in 2 losers. Romney's plan is to let the Big 3 go bankrupt. It's a nice trick that not only kills the union but clears the accounting books of retired workers pensions and health care coverage. I have no concern with the top dogs that rode in on their private jets, but I do care about what happens to the workers, past and present. Mitt likes to brag about his old daddy. Well...Mitt....where is American Motors today? He's a kook and a crook.
Huckabee is the Rubik's Cube and Pet Rock of Republican politics. He's flashed long enough to get rich and now he'll do anything to keep his name in lights. His happy little smile cannot hide the ugliness of his petty words and speech. I've said it a dozen times, he truly is the Lonesome Rhodes of our generation. I do hope we move past Huckabee next year. Any discussion of him on this blog is just a big waste of pixels.

Mike Huckabee does take Mitt to task repeatedly in his book. Hard to know how much there is to it.
We may end up seeing a lot more give and take between these two men. A new Gallup poll shows Republican voters wanting Palin, Romney, and Huckabee to run in 2012. You can see the poll results at:

There is no love lost between Mike and Mitt. Mitt is and always has been a "slick" Mitt. That is to say, he represents those who have been born into money and those who have made money off the American people...not always truthfully or in the best interests of this country. Maybe this is why Mike, an individual who knows what it's like growing up poor and struggling and fighting his way to the top, understands the plight of the average American much better than Mitt. It's interesting to note that Mike forecast what perils lay in the future for our country and warned us that things weren't rosy as the other candidates would have you believe. There are many instances of which Mike forewarned us and now everyone is repeating (his) these truths. It's time America should wake up and realize that Mike is first a former governor (10+ years) who was pretty much loved by those living in Arkansas and managed to drastically improve Arkansas schools and roads as no Repulbican governor had ever done before and secondly a former pastor. I'd say he's done a pretty awesome job and I'd vote for him again! Go Mike 2012!!

Mike Hickabigot has one big problem with Mitt Romney: Religion. Period! He is a big time hater of Mormonism. We can all thank him for throwing the Republican primaries to McCain and getting Obama elected. The hickster needs to go back to the woods and stick to his Baptist bible preachin.
There isn't a bigger bigot than Mike Huckabee.
