None dare call it scalping

Did you know that the UA could -- and does -- hold an auction to sell sideline passes to Razorback football games?

Check it out. Bidding starts at $850 for two passes to LSU game. Must be 18, or 16 with a parent or guardian.

It used to be religion which could scalp an Arky like that. But, next to MoMoney, Razorback athletics is a religion.

Hope you can follow up and determine the final price. Surely there's a few HogFan-Brokers or developers who haven't bottomed out yet.

.

What's the law for if its not enforced. Put 'em in jail.

auctions, are illegal? boy that one got by me....wow.

see....the way the ballot was worded...i thought it was lottery...slippery little devils

I don't know . . . it's *bidding,* not taking a chance on getting something. It's not a raffle. If you don't have the high bid, your money stays in your pocket.

And it doesn't seem to fit under "scalping," either, since there is no "face value" and perhaps only the most theoretical "market value" that can be grossly exceeded when you talk about the right to be on the sidelines during a game. It is, in the broadest sense, not for sale (I know; I know) ...

I'm not seeing a problem, but that's just me.

dependent upon your perceptions, it could be ego investing, no?

Theres a time to talk sweetly to members of the opposing party, and a time, when sweetness has failed, to slap them smartly across the face. President Obama has not yet learned this important lesson, to the detriment of his presidency and the nation. Gov. Mike Beebe, a more experienced lawmaker, has it down. /more/
