A helpful Blog reader points me to the San Francisco Chronicle's lookup page for financial supporters and opponents of Prop. 8, to ban same-sex marriage in California.

Arkies contributed pro and con.

The heavy hitters were anti-gay: $5,000 each from Clinton and Diane Bland of Bentonville, James Martin of Benton, Juanita Severson of Benton and Shawn Sederholm of Rogers.

Regardless of the will of the people through our democratic process, a small minority are determined to force their will on the majority. The rule of law be damned by these terrorists who demonstrate their high handed 'morality' on 69 year old women and a peaceful congregation worshiping God in another state. It isn't coincidental that these criminal displays of behavior by these animals against law abiding citizens so close to the election of a liberal democratic administration have occurred. It simply demonstrates the REAL nature of these homosexuals. I realize that I risk being censored by this blog for speaking the truth but so be it. Keep it up. The majority are simply being reinforced----as if they needed it---that tolerance of anarchy leads to more anarchy.

For those who have followed the thread on human rights, I apologize for a repeat post.

But I do want to make a point here (which obviously needs to be made) that I made on that thread.

As African-American California pastor Rev. Byron Williams says in a powerful statement on Huffington Post today (see link at my name), in our social contract, civil rights, human rights, should not be up for a vote. Our entire society is founded on documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution that recognize the equality of all.

Throughout our history, the judiciary has protected those foundational documents against popular movements that try to diminish or withdraw rights from despised minorities. The judiciary has done that, at least, when it functions properly. This is the role of the judiciary. If we allow popular vote to abrogate our Constitution by withdrawing rights from any group, what is to prevent popular vote from doing that with other groups?

As Rev. Williams states,

"The judiciary branch of government is the referee that arbitrates when we struggle to get it right. They ascertain if the will of the people is in line with the democratic values we've committed ourselves.

Imagine if after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled 9-0, as they did, in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954, officially ending de jure segregation, the Southern region of the United States were allowed to place a pro Jim Crow initiative on the ballot for a vote several months after the ruling.

The state Supreme Court applied the dispassionate standard of equal protection under the law to reach its decision. Those opposed to the court's ruling conveniently called it 'judicial activism,' as if the will of the people is always right."

I respect your right to free speech, strangelove, and for the record, I have never asked for a single person on any of these threads to be censored. At that same time, in my humble opinion, what you say in some postings, including the posting above, verges on hate speech. Gay people are not animals. Human beings reduce themselves to animals, say to say, when they let themselves speak of others in that way.

Sederholm and Bland above are in Wal-mart management.

clicky blue.

You lefties like to use the word 'hate' to control speech and limit what another American can say. The Declaration and the Constitution did not make homosexuality a civil right. In fact, during those periods of time that act was illegal due to its immorality. You may end up with 'judges' that find rights wherever the winds may blow but they only are imposed by a tyrannical judiciary that has no regard for the basic tenants of our government. Frankly, I really don't care if you are offended by my disgust for people who harass 69 year old women exercising her right to free speech or people exercising their constitutional right to worship. I'm sure the ARKBOG will be more than happy to censor my right to free speech but you aren't going to shut us up when we demand our right to free speech.

>>I realize that I risk being censored by this blog for speaking the truth..<

Oh, I hope not. Young people need to see what ultra conservative hate looks like plus your
self-righteous assumption that you hold the "truth."

.

Let me remind you that Prop 8 received favorable support from over 70% of the black population of California. Also, you might tread softly when you equate racial discrimination with the practice of homosexuality. Blacks are offended when you take that position. They find marriage to be a sacred institution limited to a man and a woman.

They also need to see how some people use propaganda to manipulate and deprive people of their rights to free speech. We will not give up our rights to free speech and go gently into the night. Get used to it.

strange......question for you. Since you use your faith as your basis for opposing same sex marriage tell me just exactly were does your bible state that "marriage" is ONLY between one man and one woman?

You might start with Genesis 2:24 and progress to Matthew 19:5. However, you have not answered my basic question. Do you condone pushing an old woman around and denying her the basic right of free speech? Do you condone interrupting a church service and denying the church members their basic right to worship? These are basic rights guaranteed by our Constitution. Where do you stand on this?

"The Declaration and the Constitution did not make homosexuality a civil right. In fact, during those periods of time that act was illegal due to its immorality."

And slavery was legal.
What was your point again?

If marriage is a human right, then humans have a right to choose which humans they marry.

(and no you nitwit, that does not mean they van marry kids. and NO no one is saying a church has to marry them.)

Slavery was abolished by our Constitutional process. I don't recall an amendment to the Constitution that established the right to perversion. You haven't answered by question about the mob denying that old woman her right to free speech and denying those church members their right to worship. Those of existing establishing rights. Where is your concern for their rights? Do you condone pushing around an old woman?

Oh how I wish these Gay haters would turn their energy into hating straight, bible

thumping, uncles, daddies, grandpa's, stepdad's, cousins, friends of family..............

who ruin lives of little girls...............

Gays have only brought joy and sunshine into my life.........

straight men...........deep scars.

There you go again trying to manipulate by using the word 'hate'. Since when do I not have the right to disagree unless you allow me to disagree? Since when did my right to free speech drop off the end of the country because you don't like my ideas? You are being mean spirited and attempting to deny me my basic rights as an American. What gives you that right?

"Do you condone pushing around an old woman?"

No I don't, I think some folks who are pissed and disappointed, are reacting in the wrong way.
Everyone has a right to free speech, even when they are wrong.
BUT that has nothing to do with the rights of tax paying citizens to marry whomever they want to.
It does not change the fact that citizens of a specific state should not have the right to vote on which fellow citizens are allowed human rights. If that was allowed I would imagine there are some men in this country who would be more then happy to strip me of my rights as a citizen of this country because I am a woman.

Prop 8 was WRONG.
Just plain wrong....and I promise you Teh Ghays could never hurt the "sanctity of marriage" the way hetrosexuals have....especially evangelicals in Arkansas.

>>The Declaration and the Constitution did not make homosexuality a civil right. In fact, during those periods of time that act was illegal due to its immorality.<<

Likewise during those times Negroes were not considered persons either. Women were barely
above chattel status in that many colonies denied them right to own property and women were
not allowed to vote until the 20th Century in this land of the free.

We are talking about change and that is the most difficult thing for ultraconservatives to accept.
They usually have a long litany of how such change would be detrimental whether it was
on sufferage, Negro freedom, or voting rights.

Now as this youthful nation seeks to expand

rights the same type of groups who despised Negroes and were more than happy to
deny women their right to own property
and vote are using the same biblically based
arguments.

When I was about 10 we helped my aunt campaign for public office, mostly in rural areas of Ark. My mother was shocked to hear over and over
"women have no place in public office."
That was 50 years ago.

I'm off to watch my favorite 'socialist", Bill Moyers.
.

strangelove, it's obvious you don't understand that we liberals can hate on whomever we want, whenever we want. If you want to practice this "free speech" you speak so fondly of then you need to do it from the privacy of your bedroom where no one has a right to interfere.

meanwhile, we will excercise our right to put a hit out on the 4 biggest contributors in favor of prop 8. it's not hate when our media does it.

We have a Constitution process to change things. Prop 8 was an example of that. The majority of the people spoke and now their will is the law of the land. You are showing your contempt for that Constitutional process by refusing to obey it.

gay people have the same rights as any other single person. we should fight for the rights of all single people instead of just one group of them. If gay people want to have a ceremony and call themselves married, then by all means they should. but not change the legal definition of the word when what they want is something else.

if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed" I will. I've got spare time.

For the life of me I can't understand why gay marriage would concern a straight person. It's no skin off my nose. I don't give a damn what some old ancient book says. I only care about people's feelings and well being. You should be able to love who you love. I personally don't care if a man wants to marry his horse. We've made glue out of em for centuries...tell me marrying your horse is some kind of torture.

Sometimes I sorta wish I could marry my red leather couch. It's so pretty, it's so comfortable....it's so good to me. Why would you care if I married my couch? We got people stoning girls to death because they were raped. We got solders returning home horrible burned and missing all their limbs....why do you give a goddamn what other people do as long as they don't touch you?

Life is too short for this shit. Loneliness is too rampant. Dying alone and lonely is so sad. Why would you want to stick your long pointy nose in someone else's business. If you think God doesn't want you to be gay.....don't be gay. Outside of your house isn't your business. Why be a horse's ass...married or unmarried.

Look...it's the 21st century. It's time to put the boogieman away. It's time to be adult and friendly to everyone who'll do that back to you. I'm sick of make up shit. I'm sick of hate. I'm sick of grown people acting like children when they're not taking it upon themselves to act as judge and jury over others.

Mind your own fucking business and the world will be a better place. I really think if God would write a new modern book all this crap would be settled once and for all. I'm so sick of the haters....aren't you sick of yourselves? Live.....be happy.....be friendly.....be nice!

HANG IN THERE STRANGELOVE, YOU ARE ON TO SOMETHING . AND THEY DONT LIKE IT.

THEY ONLY RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH IS WHAT THEY WILL ALLOW YOU TO SAY. IT SEEMS SOMETHING IS ALWAYS "WRONG AND HATE IS ATTACHED" WHEN IT IS NOT OF THEIR THINKING. STRANGE HOW THE WORD "HATE " IS TOSSED AROUND IN REGARD TO THE CONSERVATIVE SIDE OF THINGS. BUT NOT THE LIBERAL LEFT WING THOUGHTS THAT ARE VIOLENT AND INTOLERABLE TO OTHER OPINIONS.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTS. THEY ARE WELL THOUGHT OUT AND LOGICAL. AND MOST OF ALL THEY ARE YOURS, FREE TO SPEAK AND WRITE. HELP YOURSELF. WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU . AND WE KNOW WHO WE ARE.

DBI says: I don't give a damn what some old ancient book says. I only care about people's feelings and well being. You should be able to love who you love. I personally don't care if a man wants to marry his horse. We've made glue out of em for centuries...tell me marrying your horse is some kind of torture.

& my personal favorite:
Why do you give a goddamn what other people do as long as they don't touch you?

so then I guess you think we liberals should all think like you -- that it is okay to give the legal rights afforded US citizens to horses because we "marry" them...thus affording them the rights that come with that?? you're retarded. or that it is okay for others to molest children because it doesn't hurt me personally?

no wonder you can't get re-elected. moron.

DBI, TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE AND M Y O F B. LORD CAN YOU NOT BE KIND AND POLITE AND JUST A LITTLE BIT CONSIDERATE IN YOUR RAVINGS. CHASV, STRANGELOVE, AND EVEN I HAVE A RIGHT TO OUR OPINIONS.. THAT DOES NOT MAKE THEM WRONG . IT JUST MAKES THEM NOT YOURS. YOU HAVE BEEN SMOKING TOO MUCH BAD SEED AND CANNOT SEE THE LOGIC OF THINGS.. GO BACK TO SQUARE ONE AND REREAD THE CONSTITUTION.. AND THEN STOP AND THINK BEFORE YOU WRITE THOSE INSANE , PERVERTED THOUGTS THAT STREAM FROM THE WEST VIA YOUR LIL PAWS.

You read dailykos and you accuse conservatives of being 'hateful'!!!! You talk about 'rights' but you are willing to deny the most basic rights to someone just because they disagree with you? What kind of 'civil right' is that? You have rights and I have whatever crumbs you deem fit for me to have? An amendment to the state constitution is voted on by the people of the State of California in accordance with that document. It passes in accordance with the law and you condone the other side deciding to just ignore that? Where does it end. Can I do the same?

I found obama to be incredibly inexperienced when it comes to being President of the United States. However, the majority of Americans saw fit to elect him to that office. I have accepted that and will recognize the will of the majority. He is my President and I will obey the law regardless of my personal preferences. Therein is the difference between your beliefs and mine.

wow kizzy. that was ignorant.

"The state Supreme Court applied the dispassionate standard of equal protection under the law to reach its decision. "

The state Supreme Court (key here, *state*...Court) found a general principle in the California constitution and used it to invalidate a popularly adopted law. The people came back and put a specific principle in their constitution that trumps the general principle. Thus the state court now interpreting the constitution must find that it says what is plainly there.

Courts do not get to make up what are rights. They must find them in our documents. Our founders were primarily concerned when they established our judiciary that it should not ever trump the will of the people to govern themselves, even as it protected them from the tyranny of the majority. This is why those who would claim a higher authority for rights without acknowledging a Higher Authority as the Giver of those rights (that they are endowed by their Creator) have no appeal except to their own opinion.

wow, leftwing, you are the ignorant one...I have not posted anything on this thread.
Until now.
Thanks for a laugh.

Chasv and others
Why are you so interested in anyone's sex life? It's very personal and not your business. Seems like some sort of perversion to care so much.

Those of us who don't belive in your Bible don't practice such hatred.

you're a fuckhead no matter where you are.

Max,
By now you should have discovered leftwingwhackjob is doing an impersonation of you.

lwwhj has a phony email address with your name on it and lists its website as belonging to
AT.

It has your pic up on its TypeKey profile.

.

Nice try my little joined at the hip wingnuts, but the topic isn't about the suppression of your opinions. That I am reading your opinions sorta implies no one is suppressing your right to express your opinions. No has run you off the blog, though I think leftwingwhackjob's days are numbered.

I'm being hateful by not liking your display of hate? Great twist! But no cigar. Your type also said blacks were only good for picking cotton and giving them their freedom was a mistake. You didn't want women to vote and on and on. And in the end, you always lose. You're always on the wrong side of history. Prop 8 made it through this time just like Dred Scott v. Sandford, [1] 60 U.S. (19 How.) 393 (1857) was the law of the land for a while too.

So rave on and enjoy your little hateful victory. It will not stand for long. You're all Mormons now. The world is changing and your dinosaur time is limited.

good try tattle tale. my name is Brantley Max, and Max Brantley is my hero. My favorite website has been ARKTIMES.COM since I found out a person with such similar interests to my own had a name so similar as well.

can't you find a conservative to attack? why pick on a friend?

Little boys and their little toys.

And their little hate.

I almost think it's a good thing for the nation that, in this moment of resounding defeat, they have one little toy left to play with. At least it siphons off some of that free-floating hate that has such horrible consequences for the nation and focuses it on a single group.

And it removes the focus from race, which may be good for the new president.

Because all of a sudden these little white boys who have hated people of color for ever and ever are the spokespersons for people of color, playing their "good" rights against the "bad" rights of gay people.

I'm sure African Americans are thrilled at this new alliance. And having yet another little white boy to tell them what they think.

Go on, gnaw at the little bone you still have to gnaw at. Won't make you feel any better about yourself in a world where you long ago lost control, a world that does not intend to march to the drum of your hate--but to justice and the Constitution and the scriptures instead.

"Also, you might tread softly when you equate racial discrimination with the practice of homosexuality. Blacks are offended when you take that position. They find marriage to be a sacred institution limited to a man and a woman." - strangelove

If that is true, then why is it that 70% of black babies are born out of wedlock?

Some of the devout "Christian" posters here got me to thinking about those scriptures they're so fond of quoting, so I decided perhaps Ishould take a look at some.

Discovered the reason I quit trying to reason with them, or even read their posts:

"As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly." Proverbs 26:11

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." Proverbs 26:4

Kinda the way things turned out when one of the posts caught my eye in passing where the poster declared that Initiated Act 1 was "the law of the land. That's the end of it."

I pointed out that it is NOT the "law of the land." It isn't even the law in Arkansas; not until January 1st. And even then, that's not "the end of it," as any number of responses may be made to it.

His reasoned response? "It is the law of the land. Get used to it."

Therefore, I conclude that the repetition of a lie is intended to cause it to become the truth.

Against such ignorance as this, reason has no chance.

I should have known better than to "answer a fool according to his folly."

My mistake.

Until you reverse the decision of the majority it is the law of the land. Your silly reasoning is like swatting at gnats. It is the law until it is reversed by a court or the electorate reverse their previous decision. How simple can it be. You seem to be so against this decision of the majority that you pursue a line of erroneous thinking that is absurd.

SkyPilot, you devil you. How can you know so much about the bible and have demons controlling your thoughts and actions. Say?

Someone once said, "Homophobes are driven by fear. Fear of their own repressed desires or of being publically identified as a homosexual."

Strange: In violation of my own rule, and at the risk of being taken for a fool myself, I will answer your question as clearly as it can be answered in English:

It is NOT the "law of the land" (or even Arkansas) UNTIL IT GOES INTO EFFECT.

It is NOT the law today.

It is NOT the law tomorrow.

It is NOT the law on December 1st.

It is NOT the law on December 30th.

It is NOT the law on December 31st.

It will NOT BE THE LAW until January 1st, 2009

By parallel case:

Barack Obama has been elected president of the United States.

But he is NOT the president today.

He will NOT be the president tomorrow.

He Will NOT be the president on December 1st.

He will NOT be the president on January 1st.

He will NOT be the president on January 19th.

He will NOT be the president until AFTER HE IS SWORN IN on January 20th.

What about that is so difficult for you to understand.

What about that constitutes "silly reasoning" or "swatting at gnats."

That IS THE LAW. An enacted statute MAY NOT BE PUT INTO EFFECT until the date specified.

If you make something illegal as of the 1st of December, it is not illegal until the 1st of December. It is not the law. Anyone who engages in that act is not guilty of breaking the law, because the law did not exist.

Do you remember that the first person to highjack an airliner could not be prosecuted for highjacking an airliner because highjacking an airliner was NOT AGAINST THE LAW. There was no law covering the highjacking on an airliner.

So what the law WILL BE on January 1st does not make it the law TODAY.

Therefore, a law that doesnn't go into effect until the 1st of January is NOT THE LAW OF THE LAND.

It may be on January 1st, but it IS NOT TODAY!

That's as clear as I can make it. If you cannot--or refuse to--see that, there is no hope for you.

And I'm just as foolish as you.

Strange: In violation of my own rule, and at the risk of being taken for a fool myself, I will answer your question as clearly as it can be answered in English:

flyonthewall, that is one of the most ignorant questions I have ever heard.. where in hell have you been?
Homo's have aids and they can spread it to people who do not do the vile sexuals things they do.
Some of them have deliberately spread aids to innocent people. Now by God who is so evil and hateful.. Aid kilsl and other diseases they have kill too.
Haven't you heard of people that have sexual diseases die an early death...
Get you head out of the mud..
Muddle is a homosexual, he told me he was.

Apologies for the computer glitch that caused a double-posting.

chasv: Please state clearly when, where, and by whom it was determined that my actions were contolled by demons. And please identify specifically which demons--by name.

If you are not able to provide documentation, I decline to stand trial on a charge of demon-possession.

But quite honestly, my demons were exorcised when Jesus came into my life well over sixty years ago, when God dropped His love in my heart--and rooted out the hate.

Regret that you're still possessed by yours.

Someone once said, "Homophobes are driven by fear. Fear of their own repressed desires or of being publically identified as a homosexual."

Chasv, according to the Centers for Disease Control, "Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) affect men and women of all backgrounds and economic levels. In the United States, overall incidence of STDs has increased dramatically in recent years.1 The CDC estimates that 19 million new infections occur each year, almost half of them among young people ages 15 to 24." If you take Professor Kinsey's estimation that 10% of the population is gay, that still leaves 90% of those 19 million a year who are straight. So gays aren't the primary carriers of STDs....we straights are.

I do wonder how many of those 15-24 year olds have had "abstinence only" sex ed? Sure does look like it's working well.....

Chasv and others

Yes flyonthewall you are right, sex is supposed to be very personal; that is probably why those of us that do believe in the bible are not prone to walking down public streets half or totaly naked griping because we don't get enough attention.

I have given a tremeondous amount of thought to the concern that next we'll be recognizing a marriage between a man and his horse. After hours, days, of contemplation of this shocking potential problem, I have at last concluded that the only solution is to recognize that people are people and animals are animals. People can marry, animals cannot.

That is all.

InLivingColor, great insight.

when Max Brantley wants to censor free speech he simply blocks your ID. It's obvious that anyone who actually pays for Arkansas Times is either:

1. getting robbed
2. being lied to
3. anti-American
4. a Socialist
5. a Communist
6. really stupid

Doc, you say, "Someone once said, 'Homophobes are driven by fear. Fear of their own repressed desires or of being publically identified as a homosexual.'"

Very good point. Yes, well-conducted scientific studies show a clear correlation between homophobia in males and repressed homosexuality.

These studies involved showing men erotic materials, gay and straight, and measuring their response to the materials. Time and again, the most homophobic men--the ones who protest so much--turned out to be the ones stimulated by erotic pictures of men.

Interesting, isn't it?

Suggests that women whose husbands profess a great hatred for gay men ought to keep their eyes on their men. No telling where those men's minds (and more) might wander, given a chance--despite their loud protestations of hatred for gay men.

I agree! people that don't like homosexuals are gay! they're just covering up the fact that they are. we should say it over and over again until everyone thinks they're gay. then they'll know what it feels like.

we should also compare gay people to black people. gay people are like slaves that can't vote or use the same facilities as white people! we should push this argument until everyone understands that gay people have such hard lives and are treated unfairly. i don't know any gay people who are treated fairly. they don't have rights like the rest of us. we should change the definition of marriage and march on the Capitol!

Sky, what comes out of a mouth is proof enough to determine if a demon is present or not. U have 'em.
For out of the mouth comes thoughts from the heart.
I find it hard to believe a man who says he is born again will take the stand you take..
God can still give you over to a reprobate mind.

The things you say don't sound like you are one. If you are for homosexauls you are no different than they are.

Jesus is Lord! There you know, Sky!

Very good point. Yes, well-conducted scientific studies show a clear correlation between homophobia in males and repressed homosexuality...
MuddlingThrough

I love it; our own government while trying to prove people should be tolerant, hires some educated people to say that even decent men and women have latent tendencies to perversion. And just to cover up their own desires they are forced to take legal measures to ensure the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman.

We should also compare gay people to black people.
leftwingwhackjob

Sorry leftwingwhackjob, Elwood already tried that that line of attcak when hugh mann asked if I agreed that blacks should be able to vote.

Leftwingwhackjob1, you say, "we should say it over and over again until everyone thinks they're gay."

But you see, saying it over and over again only works in la-la land. The kind of land some of the posters on this blog seem to live in, when they try repeating lies over and over in the hope that we'll think the lies are true.

No, I'm sorry to dispel your fantasy about how those studies proved their point. They actually did research--empirical, careful, scientific research.

I'm sorry that the facts they uncovered may not satisfy you. But facts they are, and facts they'll remain, no matter how many times we say it over and over again to the contrary.

It's a scientifically proven fact: men who are the loudest about their heterosexuality and about how they hate gay men are far more likely to be gay than straight men who are comfortable with their sexuality.

wes, you're obviously a homosexual because you believe in family values and the bible. all christians and married men are really gay on the inside. I read a study that proves it.

I appreciate your interest in the scientific research, Wes. Since you're interested, I've provided a link to a source you may want to check: please click bluename.

"Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli . . . . Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies."

Enjoy the research!

Correction: the posting above was actually a response to Lefwingwhackjob1, not Wes.

thanks for the study. what a surprise to find out that straight men actually get aroused by two chicks getting it on.

You're right, left. These carefully conducted studies prove that what stimulates straight men is different from what stimulates "straight" men who are homophobic--primarily because they're bashing something inside themselves.

But you see, saying it over and over again only works in la-la land. The kind of land some of the posters on this blog seem to live in, when they try repeating lies over and over in the hope that we'll think the lies are true.

Now MuddlingThrough, we have been trying to keep liberals in la-la land happy and you go and spill the beans.

wes, you're obviously a homosexual because you believe in family values and the bible. all christians and married men are really gay on the inside. I read a study that proves it.

Why leftwingwhackjob1, I knew I could not keep my Christian values in the closet forever.

censored again. WTF. had to change my name and lost my post again.
Proof that this blog is a hangout for liberals only. you guys have fun stewing in your own hate.

Left, in case you missed this posting on another thread: Leftwingwhackjob2, what you're calling censorship could possibly be a problem with the sign-in link. I have problems lately getting posts through, and I'm not inclined to think I'm being censored--though I will admit I have played with the fantasy of some of the christofascists trying to block my postings because they do not want to admit that there are millions of people of faith who think differently than they do, and who support human rights for gay persons.

Again with the censorship. I'll keep coming back to discredit your flimsy arguments Max.

I obviously know how to log in (for 2 weeks at a time) if I can make posts.

If Max is done trying to eliminate any opposition to his own views we can get back to the real discussions.

"you're right, left. These carefully conducted studies prove that what stimulates straight men is different from what stimulates "straight" men who are homophobic--primarily because they're bashing something inside themselves."

we liberals tend to jump to conclusions really quickly. another explanation is that pornographic material fires up the brain in the same places that erotic material does. dig deeper and I bet it's pretty close to violence and pain centers too. go take a biology class.

Left, I truly am sorry that the facts don't support what you would prefer to believe.

They do have an inconvenient way of doing that to us.

That is, when we want to live in the reality-based community and not right-wing la-la land, where people rode dinosaurs several thousands of years ago, where women are incubators for men's babies, and where God ordains that men, no matter how stupid and venal, rule the world--as long as they are white men.

if u believe that's what conservatives believe then you are a fool. alternatively, if you don't believe it and are just saying it, like: "I'm sure African Americans are thrilled at this new alliance. And having yet another little white boy to tell them what they think."

then you are a hatemonger.
