Seen in the neighborhood
From the regular dispatches of the Heights neighborhood e-mail group comes a report that a housekeeper remembers the suspect in Anne Pressly's murder coming to the door of the house where she works recently and seeking work cleaning gutters.
She said she recognized him from the mug shot and his black Aurora, with its distinctive wheels. The owner of the house wasn't home at the time.

Comments
just reading yesterdays post on this case, and notice that racism was quite the issue in comments.
one would do well to know the difference in psychology and psychiatry also.
observations, such as you mention, ie. the color of the car, the wheels ,are just that. discriptions should contain specific observations.
noting that the bird is a cardinal, or a blue bird isn't racism. there are just noticable differences in each individual, some more distictive than others.

Back in the 80s a friend called me. She owned a motel and was renting to fellow who really needed some work. I hired him to do some temporary stuff. After 4 days he asked to be paid so I paid him and that was the end of it. Then the next week he was picked up in New Mexico and was a sought after serial killer. The motel owner and I had a shaky cup of coffee and talked about it briefly.

Heard the rumor twice yesterday that Pressley was pregnant with the child of a local celebrity whose wife had her snuffed. One source was pretty credible the other was not.

Bogus and rude to spread such unfounded rumors

No need to say every thing you're thinking or type every thing you hear. Especially when it's disgusting and hurtful and only "pretty credible."

I heard from a usually credible source this morning that Martha Washington arose from her grave last night and farted, not once but three times. Couldn't resist sharing the history-making story here.

Some people just seem to enjoy living vicariously through other people's tragedies. The whole "Look at me. I know something. Aren't I important" syndrome is enough to make you puke. The reality is that most of these people don't know jack shit about anything. They must live lonely and pathetic lives.

Ref another motel incident, seems as tho the owers of the Faubus Motel in Huntsville have decided to secede. They took down Old Glory and put up the confed battle flag. According to the owners its all about Obama being a "socialist" and the U.S. going to hell in a handbasket. Uh huh! That little piece of info is now out on the national blogs. See the article on Hullabaloo on my clik.

Because of the nature of Anne Pressly's injuries, I think most of us thought she was murdered by someone close to her.
Then there was the woman on Reservoir Road (I think) whose boyfriend beat her to death shortly after Anne Pressly died. Upon hearing that news, I wondered if that guy could have been the perpetrator.
This latest rumor just carries the "someone close to her" idea a bit farther, as if it's a version of the Alice McArthur, Bill McArthur, Mary Lee Orsini, hit man case. At this point, who knows. (As far as I'm concerned, such a wife would have to be pretty stupid. Of course, considering Mary Lee Orsini, there are stupid people out there, just as there are men whose brains are located considerably lower than most folks.)
But until the vicious animals who do this sort of thing are caught, we often forget that there are those who simply enjoy inflicting pain and even death.

In the interest of fairness, Orsini and the McArthurs were WHITE.

Even though I can't necessarily articulate the meaning or embrace the concept, I still wish this: May Anne Presley rest in peace.

After I posted that story from the Madison County newspaper last Saturday, here, I sent it to a friend who is a retired journalist. She was so outraged she called them about the incident. Seems their justification, according to my friend, is Christianity. The motel owners are among the 35% of Arkies (20% nationally) who firmly believe BHO is a Muslin. It shows you the power of E-mail myths, FIXED News and wacko, unsubstantiated letters to the editor. Of the latter I counted six in the local Stephens rag which alleged as much before the election.
When I received E-mails from my bigoted relatives alleging BHO is a Muslim I would return the message with a couple of pics showing George W. Bush holding hands and kissing a couple of Arabian Muslims.

Absolutely, doigotta, that amount of overkill has to be personal...in one way or another.
Every time I watch her parents on TV my heart breaks for them. I don't think there is anything worse in life than for parent to lose a child...especially in such a horrific/painful manner. It's just not right; we're 'suppose' to go before them. It would take everything I could muster not to head straight to the dark/vengeful/murdering/ugly part of life...but I hope I would honor him better.
